This change was proposed by DOCTOR corresponded (I can dig up the first post it appeared in). At the time I posted several reasons why I think it's bad (and some of those summed up nicely in another post here, and I added a fe more points).
This change benefits DOCTORS most and does NOT benefit CM - therefore in my opinion (and I am not alone as you can see from posts) - this change should've been opposed by CM corresponded.
Hmm, I don't see how this change will benefit the doctor when they will have no mind left to heal the ever more potent and effective poison. If they're in the combat, they'll get tagged by my area poison as well, and if they're not in the combat and heal the individual, then they'll have TEF and they'll be tagged thereafter. It really doesn't matter if they're active or not during this confrontation.
One thing I do want to bring out is that we need to have that extra 10% effectiveness as soon as possible and it should be place in the Master Combat Medic skill box. But I'll create a separate post about this.
Actually I did post in favor of this side effect. It allows doctors some extra time to cure the AoE which also helps with balance. As for the doc running out of mind from a poison, if there is a CM on his side the CM can heal his mind up, but if the CM got a poisoned mind, the doc better cure him first.

Actually you won't be able to dig up the post it first appeared in, because it's not on a public forum, I am sorry to say. But the gist of this is absolutely correct. There was no CM correspondent at the time our Dev asked about this. (I believe Kave came in the very next week.) At his behest for solutions to the incap-dance, I came up with the no-incap idea... and posted it with a lot of reservations. I then trolled the CM forum (bacause I couldn't just directly ask for it seperately because of the nature of that stupid Corre forum, grrr...)
There are at least 2 sepreat threads that were already started talkinga bout CM griefing and they all pretty much narrowed down to hatin ghte incap-dance when you took a good close look at them. I offered the no-incap suggestion and asked for other suggestions AND for I deliveratley asked for folks to tell me what was all wrong with the no-incap thing, or any other suggestions that came up, as well. The URLs for thsoe threads were given to our Dev. Several of MichaelF77s posts were directly posted over to the Correspondent forum. Our Dev stated he kinda liked the no-incap thing and that was all I ever heard about that, until it just showed up on TC and Kave reported it to us that it was in.
All of which may well be more information that I really should be posting here, but there it is nonetheless.
Let me repeat, all dissenting views and other ideas were passed on to our Dev. I was very neutral at the time on the issue. Recently I started to feel somewhat more in favor of the change and that's where I stand now, personally. So blame me for having an idea if you want, blame me for having a different opinion about this fix if you want. but don't blame me for not making other views known, because they most certainly were. Suggesting that I was malfeasant in my duties is simply hatemongering. I can offer no proof to the contrary because of the nature of the Corre forum, but feel free to ask some of the other correspondents if I offered the other viewpoints in that discussion if you like.
At the time I posted several reasons why I think it's bad (and some of those summed up nicely in another post here, and I added a fe more points).
As I mentioned above (and as I posted the URLs where this started in these very threads earlier) this is absolutely correct. And those reasons were passed on to our Dev with no dissenting comments or opinions.
I don't really see that it benefits Doctos all that much. And I fail to see how this is such a terrbile change for CMs. I woudl STILL like to see this in action. It MAY be a bad change, I just don't know. But trying to view it objectively I'm still completely unconvinced that somehow CMs will be gimped by this change if it occurs.
This change benefits DOCTORS most and does NOT benefit CM - therefore in my opinion (and I am not alone as you can see from posts) - this change should've been opposed by CM corresponded.

Thanks. It's good to know. I do NOT think there was any mallice in your actions.

In group-on- group combat gives them time to cure poison on alive people, instead of using revive on dead people. Curing poison is less expensive operation then reviving.
In group on group the CMs groupmates should be incapping folks stuck on 1 ham pretty quick (let me reiterate that I do think you have a point on the regen rate thing, soI would prefer to see something happen on that front.) So that Doc should be having to Res almost as fast as before. Might require a tad more coordination with the CM group, but that's about it, I would think.
