Thread: Why have poison stop at 1 point?
Tests suggest that all hits do some damage to all 3 pools, in a roughly 80:10:10 ratio - 80 to the pool you hit, and 10 to each of the others. Any hit should incap a player with 1 point in any pool.
Absolutly correct...This is true even for targeted pool atacks....So an attack must do 5 damage to incap them
hehe.
Those figures just can't be right, looking at them that way. I have my stats migrated for max regen, low stats. THat means that I have something like a base 700 Con, for example, with a 600 Health. I thin kBuff (master Doc, of course, with 110 roid and advanced components) and often get a Con rating close to 3.8k. Being a Wookiee I have no armor to affect my regen rates. THose figures would imply that my Toon could regenerate their entire healt HAM in less than 7 seconds. And that just doesn't seem to be right to me. I'm pretty sure that Ican''t regen anywhere near THAT fast.
It is a good point, though. I was kind of thinking that regen shouldn't be a part of the equation for something like this, but since it is it should probably be addressed. Dropping and holding at 1hp is one thing, allowing the regen is pushing it.
Haleing isn't particularly relavent because healing can be factored into any damage dealing situation. At least with a DoT any damage healed can be ticked back down without further attacks being required on that target.
For actual example - I am carbiner using mind poison, no special targets mind (though I will have to use scatter shot I guess - since it has a chance to get mind - but's it HIGH LEVEL attack).
If a person has 30 mind left - I need to do 300 damage shot to incap him (80-10-10 seems to be correct formula).
If a person has 60 mind left - I need to do 600 action-health damage shot to incap.
With 30 a sec regen rate on the 3d second my damage requirement is already VERY high - and I am 4/3/0/3 in Carbine!
Novice carbiner has NO way of dealing that kind of damage, so he has to either use health/action poison (which can be healed) or hope someone with eneough damage-dealing capabilities backs him (giving doc time to cure poison alltogether) or hoping for lucky shot (don't think you'll be able to time it with lag and what's not).

Umm. Scattershot 1 is in the first speed box after novice carbineer. How can this possibly be considered a "high level" attack? =P

Because it's in Elite Profession.
