Thread: Combat Medics Should Have Rez Packs

It depends on how you consider Rezzing. If you mean bringing back to life someone who is clinically dead, it seems to me that it's more like a necromancer's ability (as said before) than a doctor's ability. Now if you consider it as dispending emergency first aid to reanimate people whos's heart has stopped due to wounds/bleeding/shok (ie in real life like a electroshock device or a simple heart massage) then any medic sould be enough.

But in my opinion we don't really need to streal that ability from docs. However, i really think we should be able tu use poison/disease cure; who better knows how to fight a poison than the guy who created it?

Man I was laughing so hard at this thought as soon as the discussion turned to AoE....

Not practical but damn wouldnt that be cool, the dreaded area Rez (maybe followed by a quick Area Buff and your party is good to go)

LoL, area buff

I think it would be pretty cool too.

If you look at it logically rez's should have been CM from the very start. But since they weren't, it's faaaar to late to change it now.

And as for area cures, I say if docs get area cures, or area anything they should be made to take novice marksman and ranged support 4.

WhyDocs are already required to use more skill points then a CM anyways.

I personally think that AoE shouldn't be a "who's in thecircle" Item....I think to balance the Doc cures and CM AOE deal, the AOE's shouldn't be depending on whats in the circle, but rather be limited to X amount of people.

As a CM you would have to Experiment on Uses, Number of people, and Strength. I think its totally retarded that 1 CM can take down a group of 20 people in 5 seconds.

Why should Docs have to get Novice Mark/ Range support for AOE Cures. I don't want AOE Cure, I know alot of docs **edit** about it, but I personally don't want them. And frankly I would much rather give CM's AOE Cures that can be made only by DOCS. I mean I don't see what the big deal is about AOE Cures, we all have been saying we need them for months now, so I mean lets just find a solution.

I think the AOE stuff should stay CM and the Doc should keep the high level heals like rez and cures.

The thought process is a combat medic to me is an elite field medic designed to stabilize and patch up a group to keep them going until they get to a doc. A doc is designed for 1 on 1 patient care. He is the one to cure and bring the person back to 100%. You don't see many docs in a room full of people trying to patch them all up at once. They work on one until they are done then move on. The CM is the one in a group of people trying to get to as many as possible helping just enough then moving on. Noone try to throw ER doc at my analogy an ER doc is an in place CM.

I'm not a big proponent of the whole AoE cure craze myself, but that's not what I meant by my previous post. You seem to think that Doc requires more skillpoints then CM, hopefully I'm just reading that line wrong though.

I vote for the AoE rezzes and buffs just b/c it would be hilarious to have my team run into a group enemies and die in a nice little circle, then walk up covert and get a TEF by using area rez and area buff.

Not practical or reasonable but just think of the "looks" i would get lol.
