Thread: so now that you have all this do you as CMs think commandos should get there dots back?

Commando's should of never had they're weapons changed. They were faltering in usefullness before the nerf, then they added fire blankets. That should of been plenty. But devs went too far on this one. Now the commando's are in the PVP welfare line along with MBH's.

Sounds like all 3 are in the line, I have been MBH and M pistoleer, and I like bh a lot but definetly not a great PVPer. Never been commando so cannot say. pistoleer is wortheless just doen't deal any damage at all, I do more as novice fencer with a descnt gaffi then i do with master Pistoleer.


IMHO i think Commados should be a feared force in PVP and PVE a flame thrower shoudl deal some good damage to start and should havenice DOT also. I wouldn't mind to see a good 10 sec click of nice damage with some smaller wounds or ticks more on sync with disese would be fine. Biggest complaintI ever had with the flamer was its abilities otdrop an AT-ST in secs.


So to answer your ??? yes you should get a better DOT attack back, plus good wep fixes too. Commandos are suppose to be the Elite fighting force. its whatthier name designates.



Just don't make the flamer capable of dropping a 55k HAM all metal machine in no time flat is all I ask.

Just to point out that pistoleers are not nearly as broken as they would lead you to think. Are they "great", no. Do they need work, definitely. Are they "broken and need urgent attention" (such as BH, pikeman, and smugglers), no. They have several distinct specialswith uniqueuses ,despite the factif most are vanilla damage attacks. At least that is the impression I get from talking to to some M Pistoleers and seeing them in action.


Not exactly the most CM related post, but since this appears to be a commando thread anyway...

yes, as should damage from all bleed shots.


They weren't just removed because of the "jump in the lake" being the only cure.


They were removed because people would flame/bleed, FD, and get krayt's killed way too easily.


But, as I've said before, considering that 4 years ago, Verant came up with programming to reduce dot damage on druids when "kiting", I'm pretty disappointed that they did the easy fix and just nerfed the damage to $hit.

ok reading this has being quite intresting , as i am now a commando , but any time ive fought in PVP ive being killed by a CM iin less then 20 sec , and when ive cloned ive had 900 mind wounds , now in this respect i think the CM dot is by far more powerful then the commando one as ive being hit by both , but the opne main thing wrong with commando is , when we are in pvp combat we have to be 15m to apply the dot , but 9/10 it misses its target were as i dont think cm has that problem , also commando can only throw at 20m were as ive seen Cm throw at 90m .

So forgive me for not understanding why it is you'd rather simply focus on a DoT?

A CM has not the points to get feign death. The commando DOT was a lot more powerfull in PVE before the nerf than a CM dot was.
