I hear that's a good combo.

I went to Lok last night looking forthe Gorax,a GDK or a Gurk King. I ended up at a Kimo lair and killed off the inital spawn of three. I then decided to see what all would come out of the lair so I pounded on it until 6 Kimos spawned. Three Giant Kimos and three Dune Kimos. Being a Master Fencer / 4404 CM allowed me to take them all down. Granted I had to heal myself a few times but it was a really fun battle. Couldn't see a thing for most of the fight. I just kept them busy with area health and single health poisons while I kept applying health bleeds. After a couple applications of poisons, I would focus on the weakest one until it would run away then pick on the next weakest. Three more Dune Kimos spawned after a couple went down but they are the easier of the Kimos. All in all 12 Kimos killed from one lair solo with 6 out at one time twice (two replaced two dead... the last spawned when only two were living). No loot at all but it was the most fun solo fight I've had.

What I'm getting at is Master Fencer / CM is a great PVE combination. I've only PVP a bit so I can't comment on that but since Master Fencer is the elite prof that gets hit the least and a CMs poisons tick nicely (better at MCM obviously but still pretty good) every 10 seconds, I think it's one of the best fighting combos. It obviosly doesn't take advantage of the range bonuses CM is given since you are your own tank but it works nicely.

I tried taking out a Nightsister elder with just poisons and bleeds since they are 100% reistant to my battons but ticking away that 300k HAM just took too long. I started the fight too late in my buffs and ended up doing a burst run after half an hour to get out of there. I'll try one at the start of a buff some time to see how I make out..

I can't speak for the bleeds, and I thought that kinetic damage did something to NSE's... However, if you are a 3004 CM and are stacking all the poisons and diseases you can (including poison A's), you can expect it to take give or take an hour for poisons and diseases to tick away 300k HAM. (Be sure you stick on the individual disease C, it will be your second strongest DPS...)

I hope you brought a good book...

No the NSEs are 100% kin and 100% stun resistant. It'll be a long fight stacking the bleeds, health posions and diseases on her but it's kind of an obsession now. I want her dead! lol

I know it will take an hour or more but I can let her hit me while I fight other Nightsisters and Rancors. She'll just hang around while I fight other things and if one of the DOT stop, I'll re-apply them to keep her agro'd.

I'll get her

I changed my template a bit to a 4304 CM / Master fencer / novice doc and I like this much better. The tick on my poisons are up and am faster now. I had that heal mind for a bit but found that novice doc was worth more then that skill. It's kind of like a save someone else but kill yourself in the process. The novice doc get the state heals to keep me hitting harder.

Update on the NSE fight.... I ran like a school girl. Well not quite like a school girl since CMs can do mountains quite well, but run I did. They have too much HAM!! I don't anything in the game should be 100% resistant to anything. I can live with 99% but jeez. I can beat a building with my stick or a rock and it dies but I can't hit aNSE in an ugly dress for any damage.

I did take out one of the lesser ones, Witch I think, that is 100% kin, 100%stun resistant. I just poisoned her a couple times and waited her out. Must only have about 1/3 ham of the NSEs because it didn't take too long. Once she got down to a point she was walking away, I hauled out my trusty crappy rifle and shot her. (Got 3 rifle XP :smileytongue She gave me a white force crystal.

You have asked about several templates through the past few days. I would turn around and ask you why is it so important that you get the "perfect template"? It is entirely based on play style, and what is good for one person might not be for another. Furthermore, I would say that the goal of an MMORPG is to have fun (even if it means you have a suboptimal template), not to "win". If you are very concerned about getting a generic good template, there are several threads about templates people are using. I think one is actually sticked on the forums.

However, I would say your best bet is to try out all the templates you suggested and see which you like. After playing a few days to a few weeks as a mid level combat medic, you will learn more about how skills interact with the game than we could reasonably explain to you on the forums. And it shouldn't be that hard to play around with your skill set, assuming you are playing the professions to have fun (rather than grinding for hours on end just to get a "perfect set up", then thinking about having fun). And who knows, you might come up with a brand new set up nobody had thought of before and love it.

Like jfang said, try it out. Once you get CM, your medic XP caps pretty quick using area poisons. you can forget about tumbling for XP gains, just keep doing area poisons and you cap in no time. Try out what you think will work, and if it doesn't, adjust it and try again. Combat and doc XP are among the easiest to get, if you want to change your template, get in a solo group and fight enranged rancors. One lair will give youover 1200 medicXP every few seconds if you tap the lair before engaging. This technique will work on any creature lair but do Rancors, they are much more fun and give you 38k credit per mission.

I am a Master Fencer 4004 CM 2000 Doc.

I am a walking God.

I kill players without impunity.

I've had groups of players run from me.

I've held entire player cities at bay alone.

I toss 370 area tick mind poisons.

I toss 600 tick single mind poisons.

I love Havla.

I Love to Kill.

Fencer/CM is who i am.

Fencer/CM is who i be.

__________________________________________________________

Now that the dramatics are over and done with, i will say that this combo is very good, w/ the doc and the cm, and the fencer, its very hard to kill me, i can cure all states, and cure poison. With havla, i can fight and keep myself up, and outlast almost anyone in the game...altho I will say Pure Fencer/Doctors will beat me.

Hmmm quite intresting in deed

Master Fencer / Master Doc sucks now cause of heal delay by the time they remove a poison you can reapply it.
