Haha true thoughj your point about strategy may be, Its hard to organize something like this in the game as it is. Especially with all the teenagers who all want to be the boss...Are you factionally aligned? If so which side? It is much harder for Imperials in situations like this, because the Rebels do outnumber us. So if we struggle to get 60 men, then the rebels can get 70 no sweat. I'm not whining there are too many rebels, but merely saying that the strategy on the different sides are different, and what may be easy for a rebel is quite impossible for an Imperial.

With good tactics and a solid team you can overcome even the worst circumstances. <iX> is 100% solid imho and I know I am just prolonging the inevitable DB when I fight them with my long range meds. Point is they are not inhuman players and anyone on any galaxy can aspire to play the way they do. You said it is harder for an Imperial to overcome the vast numbers of Rebels. Well these guys are a great example that it doesn't take numbers to win.

Yes everyone theoretically CAN be like this. But as of right now, 95% of the people in the game ARENT like this. and in this game you have to take what you can get.

I almost feel bad jumping in here. I really just wanted to say I enjoyed reading this thread immensely. Not often you can see an actual back and forth debate that doesn't get carried away.

Very impressed I am

I must fight against dozens of Uber rich Combat medics then. Because with no BF, and such, im constantly being hit with 500 point, mind eiseases, as are my entire raid. Even if they are terrible, by the time a doctor can heal you, all, about 50% are gonna be severly weakened if not taken out of combat.

500 Mind disease is a bit of a stretch unless they were stacking diseases. If this is the case then the range would be reduced to increase the damage. Disease takes about 20 sec or so to actually tic. I've seen some cases where it took a full minute to tic, but when it did, Oh baby it hurt for 4x the damage. CMs are made to be zerg stoppers. There are several guilds out there that counter CMs easily. They use different tactics including using 2 dedicated entertainers to heal their combatants.

Id love to see combat medics stay as an offensive proffesion, as of right now many combat medics are game breakers. I realize they are Fotm, but it is simply not fair to everyone else, to have a combat medic able to throw 80 m, plus with a more extreme range with AOE.

Combat Medics are far from FOTM. Many players agree it isn't often they will see more than 5 CMs during their playtime while they see TKA/Comm/Riflemen/Pistoleer/Smuggler combos running around. Also dabbling in CM isn't easy as it is our level in CM that gives us our damage and range bonus.

I agree the range can be extreme but so are the measures we take to craft these meds. Also the tradeoff for range vs damage must be taken into account. If you take away my range then I want my damage increased and the AE radius increased. Not to mention our poisons can't even incap.

I cant tell you how many raids Ive seen destroyed, by a single ocmbat medic, in about 10 minutes, with the medic receiving little to no damage.

That's a smart CM who can live through his bio-attack, or he's fighting some pretty dumb enemies. If the CM uses range to his advantage then the Poison damage will be reduced. If he is ducking for cover after tossing his AE then that's even smarter. If the CM is using a corpse or an incapped player as a target for an AE then you have no one but yourself to blame for not getting your buddies dragged off the battlefield. Don't give a CM a target he can use. This is one of my most devious tactics and I am hated for it.

My foes know who I am and use covert grp tef to shadow me until they can attack me. /shrug I've learned to live with it. I'm not the best CM out there but I have learned how to live through my attacks range or no range.

Therein lies the crux of the issue. Everyone has the potential but most are too lazy to make an effort. If more players were mature and PVP'd like <iX> does, you wouldn't see many nerf cries on any of these forums...

I just wanna know where these comabt medics are getting stuff they can throw more than 64 meters cause I wanna get me some. Last i tried with an area poison C that does 500 a tic I couldn't go more that 45ish meteres. I am a master CM and I havent seen any such ranges ever except onrifles in beta.

I've been hoarding supplies for a looong time now. On Kauri it has been forever since a decent shift of Eleton Reactive has spawned. However for the range, I have about 100k+ of top quality Yavin Fiberplast and Liquid 2 Petro that spawned about 4 months apart from each other. Using the ADMs I make from these resources along with some high OQ, high CD Copper I can get a BASE RANGE of 40m (80m at Master). But these poisons have basically taken me almost 5 months to produce and they still don't have great damage. It's alot of work to produce something this effective only to let it be nerfed to oblivion.

You can also pull a little trick with the range. Get a cover tbuddy, or even a covert of the oppoiste faction, and /duel him, have him run to max range, and hit the AoE disease, The Aoe depending on the area, can hit up to 25 meters out, meaning that in essence with 70m range disease, you can hit people up to 95 m away.
