And from what I've heard, poison resistance AAs and aakuan cloak don't work too well...some say it only works for PVE
Don't quote me on it though....
Poison resistance AA's work just fine in PvE and PvP. The problem is that a master combat medic can make the potency on the poison high enough to defeat the resist modifiers. PvE poisons and diseases are generally low-medium potency from what I've seen.
If its any consequence, about 2 base raids ago I had 3 people constantly resist my +109 potency MIND poisons. Not sure what combo they were using but it was working. My T21 took care of them the old fashioned way.![]()

Oh yeah....potency.
That makes sense
Also makes sense when I though my area disease c in a crowd of about 50 people and only 3 or so resisted
I should have taken a screenshot of the "you have applied" messages....
Your template looks like your going to be spread out pretty thin. What is the goal of your template? If your going for a ranged attacker than I'd be dropping those brawler skills to free up space for ranged skills. Commando really gains its fun factor when you get to play with the big weapons. Obviously the best weapons become available when you hit master but if I was to recommend a branch to focus on, I'd pick Incindiary one.
IMHO, in regards to PVP I don't think it is a wise idea.
Start working on your carbine skills, specifically shoot for atleast 0300 carbs, 0400 carbs ideally. This nets you a nice accuracy gain and better damage specials in legshot and rapidfire.
What are you trying to do with the brawler skills, do you plan on taking a melee profession aswell? If you do I would complement commando with TK as it will be a tad lower in SP requirements than any other melee master and will give the best bang for your buck in defences.
If you are still wondering there are a ton of threads which go into alot of detail over specific templates, do some poking around and you will get a ton of opinions that will prolly confuse you even more![]()
Ohh, and if you are going to be viable in PvP it depends on 1) your supporting combat skills and 2) if they ever fix elemental damage.
I'm a master commando, master CM, carb 0300 with some FS skills atm, I can wreck some of the toughest SoB's I know, but yet some of the simple templates can serve me up alot of hurt. I would worry more about finishing your template though before you think about PvP. We are all up in the air as to what level of effectiveness we will have when damage is reporting right.
