Thread: Why poisons ARE overpowered.

As I predicted, we are seeing the problem of not accurately stating the problem with poisons when we pre-emptively as a class tried to discuss what should be done with poistons.

Now people are calling for a nerf to all poisons not just mind poisons, which are the problem in the first place.

SoE has created this problem by making the mind target 1) unhealable and 2) unbuffable by doctors. Sure you can use chef and smuggler spices to buff the mind pool but when a doctor has buffed players to 3k HA, what pool are you goign to target in pvp?

The developers have to give some class the ability to heal the mind pool. Alternatively, give doctors the ability to at least buff the mind pool. Sure they won't be able to heal the mind pool, but if combat medics can damage the mind pool and if doctors can heal mind poison, what is the justification logically for not letting doctors buff the mind pool?

As long as they continue to insist that Mind damage cannot be healed, whichever profession has the highest Mind damage attack with get the nerf bat. It's silly that they keep trying to bandaid the problem by nerfing, but the alternative is to admit that a basic design element is flawed. As long as you can A) attack the mind pool for more than minor damage and B) it cannot be healed, there will never be balance to the PvP in the game. Period. They will have to address this sooner or later. Welcome to nerfville until they do. *shrug*

The problem is mind is not healable. They need to have a class that can heal mind damage.

Keep in mind, even though mind damage MIGHT be overpowered, that most people beef up H and A, but leave a sliver of M...

It is NOT uncommon for me to see a JOE walking around with 1300 health, 1000 action and 400 mind...that's a 1 hit kill guarantee right there....some people just don't think, and go complaining how underpowered they are...not saying this is the case here, but it happens...a LOT...

Better tactics in an attack would help...I also don't understand why LOS is not a factor. Maybe that's the only dix it needs.

I thinks its a bug with aoe damage/heals. I noticed sometimes my aoe heals wont heal a pet in a party unless I lob it directly at it.

Single line poison definetly works, not sure if AOE does.
