I'm curious about this question as well. I'm currently novice Pistoleer and two boxes from master Medic, and I'm not sure which of the two elite Medic professions I want to pick up. Ranged heals sound nice, but since I regularly hunt with a close knit group of friends who are use to working together, I'm sure I wouldn't have too much of a problem working with the non-ranged heals of the Doctor. What I can't decide is between CM DOTs and Doctor buffs. Both sound pretty **edit** nice, though I can'tchoose which seems more beneficial. Outside of PvP situations, are the CM DOTs very useful? Would it be a counterproductive to master Doctor and then pick and choose from CM (i.e. 4-0-4-4) or vice-versa (master CM and 0-4-4-4 in Doc)? Or would it just be best to choose one and stick with it? Any info from people who have actually worked their way into theeither of the twoprofessions would be helpful.

I personally am going Master Carbineer/Master Combat Medic, though it might take a while to get Carbineer...the combat exp needed is outrageous! I chose Combat Medic mainly for the range healing. That way if I'm in a group with pistol/rifle users, I don't have to be right next to them to heal. I'm currently gathering the resources for the poisons and diseases and now that those are working a bit betterm, I can't wait to try them out.

One more great thing about CMs...if u fight a good one you'll never see him...he will be healing and dotting from cover and you will never see where he's working for or even get LOS on him...

everything in the CM line is non-LOS...so next the doc runs out to you to stim u and you all land on ur arses from AOE KDs...then CM will bail u all out with a nice juicy AOE heal from behind the wall

Overall doctors are better medical wise. They can heal 200+ wounds in an instant, buff your stats to godly, revive you on the field, and heal damage just as good as a combat medic, if not better. The only advantage a combat medic has over doctors is healing range. If you plan to go pvp then combat medic would be the best choice IMO. Doctors are still great in the field if used properly.

Do you really think in PvP doctors are better healers than CMs?

Threereason why they are...

OneLOS...I bet oyu money you run out to heal someone and u get ur butt KDed in an instant as a doctor

Twoany player any good at PvP will immediately realize you are a healer as soon as that heart appears over the patient...You will never see where a ranged stim came from, all you wiill see is the heal ball hit the player...grats everyone knows ur a doctor/medic paint a target on ur forehead and bend over...

Three. AOE heals!!! lol i can heal a ton of people in one move..have fun stiming singel people at 4 secs at a time...bet u u dont last through 3 heals in the open....

i wont be able to become master Droid engineer? dang then its really gonna be hard to make money. well either way theres always gonna be someone who can make droids better then me (i can't even make those mouse droids yet) so i doubt many would buy droids from me.

Whats AOE? i'm guessing some kinda area healing right? is that the blue ball looking thing combat medics throw? if so those look cool. can't wait to use them. i've got so much medic XP but that dam range weapon specialist is taking forever to master.
