would it be worth it? I am already a master doc. Do they compliment each other any?

I loved it for the group support role... but solo stuff was, um, uncomfortable...
but when running or assisting in group combat there is nothing more satisfying than being able to cure any state, heal players, rez players, zap them with a mind heal to avoid death my mind, poison and disease if need be, area heals, area cures, run out and /drag a player back to a safe location (even if a corpse) rez, heal, smack some buffs on them and send them back....
One of the last major battles I was in as a doc/cm was where I was running one of 4 groups on a base takedown raid... for 2/3 of the battle I was unbuffed just running around healing people in my group and directing them to the battle.. I found that I was able to focus on leading and monitoring my group a lot better than the times I went in as a full bore combat type and tried to lead them..
All in all, if I had groups of people to do combat with on a more regular basis I would still be doc/cm

That is what I did when I did doc/cm .... then 85% of my guild started quitting and I ran out of groups of people I was willing to play with... so now I am tkm/ranger...
Basically I found that if you are very social it is a lot easier to work with that combo...but if you are a loner it can be hard.

I have the Doc/CM template with the carbines line, and I love it. It is a tough template for solo play, especially in PVE. It's very rewarding in group play though. I'm a true force multiplier. IMHO it's a template that is perfectly suited for those players who have a healer's mentality. If you get caught up in trying to kill your enemy, you will have failed in your role. If you concentrate on supporting your comrades, you become irreplaceable.

I have to agree completely with Obata.
I am an MCM/MD, I am the ultimate healer and combat support. It's what I do and have the most fun with.

It can be a ton of fun, but you have to work at it. Deciding when to throw a heal instead of a poison is the big thing. Start the fight with a couple bombs then go to keeping you group alive while they take out the trash seems to work well

When I did it I actually went with the heals first... people were more likely to go gunning for me when they saw " poisoned .." come across their screen..

forgot to mention, that chucking disease and poison is great. I love it, i can rez, heal, from close or a distance. If needed i can buff. Its a great combo. So much better then sitting around a starport buffing. I have a feeling this is going to be a great career move.

Sorry to say, but BE's can't make tissues for crafting, you have to find tapes. As to the difference the extra 2 points make, it's larger than in doctor crafting. CM crafting has many items that have more than one line to experiment. The extra points let you get more damage on a high potency, PVP DOT, or more range on a PVE DOT, or more range/power from area and ranged stims, etc.
