I was wanting to be a MBH, MCM, Carb 0400 but because of the nerf where ED doesn't stack anymore with Crippling shot I'm not sure it would be a viable option. What do you guys think? For hunting jedi? or PvE?
MBH, MCM, Carb 0400
MBH, MCM, Pistols 0004
or
MBH, MCM, Rifles 4000
Which do you guys have the most success with?

It gives you 2 high damage shots as opposed to a pistolerr 0/0/0/4 temp which you have 1 (advanced crit)

They are all perfectly viable options. I am MCM MBH 0400 Carbs, I find that improved crippling shot matches the damage of improved head shot every time butwhat it came down to for me was running. Ever tried running with a rifle? I had to use ED just so they wouldn't run circles around me while I kited. Now carbines aren't a lot better but when I looked at the whole picture I prefered cabines. I found when I had Pistols 0004 I was missinga damage shot too much and root wasn't worth it to me. Now I am not the best BH by far but when I actually get to fight my marks I am usually 50% win loss ratio.

The best combo of my highest-dps and lowest-action-cost-weapon has determined my route. I had a nice carb...found a better pistol....now found a kick a$$ rifle.Sonot only did i go rifle, igave up mcmfor cm4004/novice rifle4004/tkm....now i can tanklike a tka should be able to bykeeping aggro...oh yeah and healing like a mother. The BIG downside is that the profcalc said i would be lvl77 with this and it ends up being lvl76..
. I only managed to lose 150 or so health, but I just did this tonight so i'll have to seeif it was worth it.If you have a pistol or rifle with significantly better stats go with that, if they are a horse a piece,I would go carbine.

My alt is MBH/MCM with pistol stances 4. I went this route for the added defenses.

I'm MBH, MCM, Carb 0400
Sure its not quite as powerful since they nerfed snare stacking. However it does give you the best +weapon accuracy tree from any ranged weapon profession, which means you actually have a chance of hitting and hurting a full-temp Jedi with your gun

ED = Electrolye drain.
Now... Maybe I'm reading a bit too much in to this but...
Can people please stop calling the stacking of a root or snare a nerf? These weren't intended to be stacked. But this name "nerf" is being thrown around like it's no tomorrow.
By calling "nerf" You are negating the game mechanics and a degree of common sense. On why things changed like they did.
Just because the profession changed doesn't give you a right to call this a nerf. For doing so you are degrading the people and the very avenue you comment in. The people in this forum deserve more from you than your simple adjectives that discount a great many things.
A lot has changed
Doc buffs combined with jedi speed buffs. can't do it.
Same with paralyze and damage... doesn't work.
The list goes on & having fought against them or been any of the other professions that have undergone changes I'm sure at least some of you can see the reason behind it.
Feel free to express your frustration "because you really liked to use it or whatever" hell make it a fun story. But lets raise the bar of common sense by understanding why & by not throwing accusations around like a 1 dollar bill.
Uh and I'm thinking on going carbines

Simply haveing MBH/MCM gives you two high-damaging attacks that are both on different timers - Torso Shot and Advanced Critical. According to my combat log Torso Shot actually does MORE damage to my target than Advanced Critical provided it doesn't hit a +Critical+. I must say however that after trying the Pistoleer xxx4 line I'd still recommend Carbineer x4xx as this gives you access to carbines that are immensely more powerful than pistols in Minimum-Maximum Damage vaules. You'll find that Stopping Shot will rarely ever land against a Jedi and then you're stuck without another shot for 30 seconds or so afterwards. At least with x4xx in Carbines you're gaining more accuracy as well as a good +Snare+. You can actually start off your attack from a ranged now and eat away at them alittle before they close the gap.

Hmm.... Vey good to know, I have a master carbineer almost master BH in my guild that will love this although I am going to have to get them really low sac weapons to alternate between adv crit torso shot, and improved leg....
