fficeffice" />Hello Combat Medics!

· Are you knowledgeable about theCombat Medicprofession?

· Are you a community leader?

· Can you objectively identify relevant issues and distinguish them from simply passionate arguments?

· Do you like organizing information and corresponding with other members of a community?

The Development Team is looking for a volunteer correspondent for the Combat Medic Profession. Participation is completely voluntary and you can stop helping out at any time. We’re just looking for someone who can help us sort through the various issues for this profession.

Some things that you need to consider when applying:

· Developing online games takes a long time. Results happen over long time involvement.

· Player Correspondents should be leaders in their community and set a positive tone.

· Player Correspondents should understand the technical aspects of playing the profession and the needs of their community.

· Player Correspondents should be in touch with the communities concerns, understanding the essence of why players pursue their chosen profession.

If this is something you are interested in, please write a short paragraph on why you think you would be a good candidate and email it to [email protected]. Please put Combat Medic Correspondent in the Subject Line. By submitting this email to us, you agree to allow us to contact you in connection with Star Wars Galaxies and agree that all correspondence with and material submitted to SOE will be the exclusive property of SOE and SOE may use such materials without limitation and in its sole discretion.

After we have reviewed the submissions, we will pick one person to be our correspondent. We will set them up with a special community title here on the forums and ask them to help highlight for us the relevant issues relating to this profession.

We will still continue to monitor the forums and read as many threads as we can. The correspondent is just to help us focus on the top issues and community concerns of the profession.

Thank you.

Man, you have no idea what you're talking about.

1) This forum is one of the slowest out of any of the proffession boards, that tends to mean that there's a very small % of people playing as combat medics. (and a large portion of the threads that get created here are solely "How do I grind CM?" or "what's rancor bile?" .

2) And how exactly do we win if we lose? I'm sorry, putting a poison on someone and then dying and comming back to finish off the person is not winning. That's just losing slightly less then originally. Also any class that hits the mind pool can do this, so I don't see how we can possibly be the biggest problem.

I've said it before though, mind stims would solve all of this mess. Removed in beta because it was exploitable, but now mind damage is the end all be all in fights and needs to be reworked so it's healable.

Well this is completely off-topic, but while mind stims were never in Beta, regular stims healing mind in the same way that they also heal Health and Action (like the Damage Stim loot drops still do) was in Beta. I think there should be a possibility of seeing something like that beng put back in again once the Combat Revamp (tm)is completed in the next few months, since the exploit that had to be fixed by removing that should no longer be possible.

Back on topic, though....

TH: I think some of the folks who have already applied for this may wish to know that their "hat is still in the ring", so to speak.

I would put my name in the hat but unfortunately I have a bias view and will result in every combat medic having 1000 tick poison and 500 tick disease.

Besides, as I've said beforethe correspondentis the a Sh*t job, no appreciation what-so-ever, and you get endless trolls coming on to this forum blantering non-sense. Give me the power to ban people and remove threads on the forum then I'll be more than happy to take over the correspondent position.

You can give a person 300 wounds in a few categories, die, come back, you have 100, he has 300. Lol, then you can medpak yourself, and do it again, wow, cool aint it. I guess we can just throw my power hammers wound chance, and cleavers wound chance, and t21's wound chance out the window, as in comparison they are embarassing.

Your idiotic trollish comments had nothing to do with Pips decision so get over yourself. Absolutely none of your posts related to CMs have been in any way constructive. They have just been lame attempts at flaming.
