Thread: New CM Ability Puke

There should be a CM ability that literally "debuffs" -- it causes the person it was used on to vomit (using the animation), thus having a chance to remove a "buff" from a food. Both the fill and the effect would be removed.
So I was thinking three levels:
Puke - Novice Box - 25% chance to remove 1 food buff
Improved Puke - Tier 2 - 50% chance to remove 1 food buff
Advanced Puke - Master Box - 75% chance to remove 1 food buff
A target can't puke more than once in 30 seconds. What do you think?

Smugglers have this thing for pie. I hang out there a lot, I have a smuggler, for some reason this thread coupled with the pie thing made me think of the scene from Stand By Me with lardass and the pie eating contest.
Being able to make an entire crowd on SWG pull off that puke scene from that movie would be hilarious.

I think that is a great idea but wouldn't the person just re-eat the food since it removes the filling too?

Heh cool idea. Though I would change the 30 second reapply to 2 min and leave the fill effect so the food cant be re-eaten right away.

The fact that they can re-eat the food balances the ability. Basically, you don't want to prevent someone from eating the same food again, because this forces them to distract themselves if they want the buff back. It's sort of a tradeoff -- in a duel or PvP, you don't want to be concerned about popping some more food, so you can either distract yourself for a time or just live with it.
Plus, they may just run out of food.
Maybe there could be an AoE version of this, but the AoE version only has a 25% rate per person (to balance the ability).

I think its great and prety funny at that....But sence you have to buy the food and some of it can be expensive. I bet the devs would consider it griefing. Maby a chance at removing a doc buff? If they used enhancers it could cost money but who uses those lol. Would be far less usefull however...

Well, you have to spend money for armor, and armor decays when it gets hit during battle... so would fighting someone else be considered griefing them?
Anyway, it's not that bad, since at even the highest level, you only have a 75% chance of removing one food buff. Then there's a timer, and it costs a lot of mind.

I don't agree, popping some more food is easy to do if its in ur toolbar.Plus I would think that if u really want this ability to act like someone who really pukes then u need a timer on how long they can eat anything afterwards.... I know that after the few timesI've vomited I really didn't want anything in my stomach for a while.

But just making them animate the puke would be quite powerful. If you've gone through spice withdrawl in the middle of a duel you know it takes you out of the fight for about 10 seconds as you fall to your knees hacking and blowing chunks all over your feet.

Theres an idea, how about a -10% everything version of a spice downer. -10% would make a great debuff, but wouldn't necessarily be extremely powerful.
