/emote hopes this is a sign that they are re-examining the range formula, so master combat medic buys you more than 7m...

I just wish they would TELL US WHAT IS GOING ON!!!

I'm so sick and tired of Devs telling us something...then breaking the promise without a word. I'm also sick of them "fixing" things with no official notification. I feel that it is their OBLIGATION to us as customers to inform us of the changes made to our system.

I know that the bank can make changes it wants to my account, but it is legally held responsible to inform me of what those changes are. Why is it that SOE can screw us over?

Agreed. Patch notes, 19 answers, and other non-informations are a bad trend on the part of the devs... I hope that changes soon...

Did they say today was nerf day? I thought changes usually took two weeks from test center to live....

Or maybe they will rethink the formula? *prays*

Nothing is official until they post it on thereleases page.

Anything on test center is just that, testing. Nothing official. Just because you assumed the release was today doesn't mean the developers owe you any announcement to the contrary.

I think they said in the original announcement that it was planned on being released today. If an official person says something definite in an official venue, even if it is not on some specific location, it is reasonable to expect that this is what is going to happen (a patch getting pushed today in this specific example). If TH had originally said "this is coming soon", it would be a different story. But he specifically said that it was coming July 13th, I think.

Do they "owe" us an explanation, no. But it would be very nice if they gave one, or at least a warning. More importantly, this is just a representative example of a general lack of communication to the player base (such as when the water poisoning was fixed and nobody knew, such as the now more than 4 week old 19 answers, etc.). Do developers *need* to tell us what is going on, no. But don't be surprised that people are upset for being left in the dark.

A little background for those who may not be right on top of the Combat Medic PvP Issue; Currently, some Combat Medics can create a very powerful Area Effect poison that is usable at a power and range far above any other combat attack in the game. The poisons are very hard to cure, it happens at up to 96 meters which is beyond the capability of all other professions and is having a bad impact on the game.

We’ve been talking about the possibility that there would be a change coming for a couple of weeks and that time is now. We have some long term goals and some short term goals. For the long term, we will address Combat Medics as a profession and look at everything again, but for the short term, we have put together an interim solution:

1. We will be making the following changes on Test Center on Thursday, July 8th (today):

•Combat Medic: Added a minimum throw time to combat medic apply disease and apply poison
•Combat Medic: Corrected a bug that allowed combat medics to throw at twice the range listed on poisons and diseases

2. These changes will go to live servers on Tuesday morning, so for those of you who will be on Test Center, testing this weekend, we really want your input.

I encourage everyone who is passionate about this issue to get out there and test away and post your results here.

We can and will continue to address this situation as needed once it goes to live. Let us know how you feel about the changes, how they worked and how you think will improve or degrade the Live server PvP experience.

Thanks very much

I didn't assume anything. Just because YOU are not current on the Developer's announcements and news does not give you the right to criticize other people.

Thanks Pahd, for copying and pasting. I was getting ready to do so, in order to enlighten our "friend" rexan...but you already posted it for me.

Edit: I take back some of the anger at the Devs. I finally made it home from work, and logged in. On the patch notes portion of the login screen, it announced that the patch would be released tomorrow. So they did announce it...just not where forum-browsers could see.
