Thread: Where is the class 1 radioactive
I've been a Combat Medic for quite some time. Never did find any Type 1 Radioactive on the Flurry server. I don't think it exists. ![]()
I am a Combat Medic on Lowca and I can't find any class 1 radioactive. Every other Combat Medic that I run into either buys their poisons/stims or just uses the regular and not advanced component for crafting. Is it like this on all servers? Can you still make good poisons using a regular resiliance component? Have the dev's said anything about the availability of class 1 radioactive.
Thanks,
Kurgan

Lads what your whinging about is one of the reasons I use when defending the class's constant nerfing. CM is not a 2ndary class to whatever else your points are in. It is your first class as it takes so much time to do well. I don't mean time as in a day, but in months! It is simply the hardest class to be really good at.
You have to be constantly aware of what resources are spawning when. What resource has been on what planet for how long. You can't rely on swgcraft or rumors or for-sale ads on the forums. You have to constantly travel and survey, spend time on the bazaars and ask friends on other planets to check for you daily.
If C1 radio hasn't spawned on your planet since you've been a CM, then you best be sure to have your fusions rdy for when it does spawn. Critical resources spawn, but not all the time. When they spawn with magnificent stats is a rare thing indeed, so always be prepared to horde it. You never know how long it's going to take for it to come back. For example, yavin plast spawned of the best stats since the game went live on Bria. I was waiting for it and got 10 chems on it the first day. I pulled in several hundred k, which I hope will last me untill the next time it comes around with westside stats.
If you play CM long enough you'll realize that you can't purchase what you need to make the best poisons/diseases. I NEVER sell my resources, I simply PvP too much and don't want to be hit by my own poisons. It's not in your best interest to sell the high stat poison/disease ingreds or sub or finished crates. This imho is the reason you can't buy what you need, along with the fact that there aren't many cm's who really take the time(months) and effort to obtain the resources cm's need.
Don't give up, stick with it. Eventuallyyou will, withalot of help from friends hopefully, end up with quite a stockpile of everything you need to make the best poisons and diseases on your server. I can't stress enough that CM isn't something you can level up and be devistating at quickly. You might make master, but it's a serious time consuming chore to do well.
Stick with it lads, your C1 will spawn HUGE someday. You will be rewarded for your diligence!
Class 1 Radio finally shifted on Eclipse, decent stats, two shifts in a row:-) It is a rare shift.
It does take months of constant travel and paying close attention to shifts. I've collected CM resources for months now, and I finally have what I consider a 'good' stock. Do pay attention to swgcraft.com., at least on the eclipse side, it is kept up to date:-) Everytime you travel, do a quick look at resources, doesn't take long. I agree, keep a good amount of rate 13 harvs available, throw as many as you can down on the rare resources.
swgcraft.com is required for anyone crafting their own meds. It's really the only way to keep up with the quantity and diversity of components required for CM's.
You probably deposited it as power to your harvesters. /lol
Because it takes all available power types in combines it together when you want to deposit power.
I learned my lesson well on this one.So I started to put myadvanced componentsresources in my house, and only pick it up when I craft.
It took about 2 months to finally break the 600+ mark, but I did it, then opened up my holo and said to master merchant /cry.
If you rebel MCM on Kauri, give me a jingle. I have some good stock piles of resources and won't be needed them for awhile. But I'm still keeping an I on CM resources ![]()
Thanks for the posts everyone. I don't want to be an artisan and survey and harvest resources. I do not have enough time to play this game to keep track of which resource spawns where. I like to buy my resources from someone and then craft the meds that I need...I believe that class 1 radioactive not being available on Lowca is a bug and not intended. Every combat medic that I talk to does not use it when crafting components because they can't find it. I have never seen any cl1 radioactive available on the Bazaar. I barely have enough time to spend leveling my character up the CM and Carbineer trees without worrying about surveying for a resource that should be available for purchase in the galaxy.
On another note, if you don't use class 1 radioactive when crafting (and therefore settle for a regular and not advancedresiliance (sp?)component), are you poisons still effective?
Thanks,
Kurgan

Yes, but even the worst advanced subcomponent is still much better than the best regular subcomponent. Your poison and disease will still tick, though at a lesser amount than using all adv subs. If you experiment well on everything else you use, and use high stat materials, your poison will work. The thing is, if no other cm has C1, than your doing as much damage as the lad on the other side is doing on you![]()
The dev's can't make people sell resources, or stock vendors. So nothing "should" be available on the bazaar mate. Every crafting class goes through dry spells on ingredients much the way combat medics do, though at a substantially lesser scale. It's no bug, they don't put the resources on your server all the time for a reason, they want the class to be difficult to play well.
Stick to it, keep an eye on that bizaar and post want ads on your server forums every so often. You'll eventually find what your looking for mate, it just takes time with CM components.
