At last I managed to get into a faction brawl that wasn't a ganking and unleash some mind poison.

It was sweeeeeeeeeeet. I made a special batch today lower on the effectiveness higher on the potency and whether or not that was the keyI nailed almost everyone in radius everytime.

Best Part -- Firing fading away from around me as people drop

Worst Part -- Huge lag of PvP, long delay for using poison compared with heals threw off my timing honed from weeks of AoE healing.

Cool. I've been a Master Combat Medic for about a week now and I still haven't made any poison due to lack of materials. So far I don't have a single material needed and I've been shouting through Theed and Coronet for the past week.

oh.. zalana..

it'll get boring after a while just poisoning faction players.. try doing the same to a group of large monsters or so.. see if you survive -_-

no wait... see if it even scratches them..

You should really go out and get harvesters for your components. Combat Medic materials are a very small market right now...people who make a living harvesting resources go for stuff that pays well like weapon and armor materials.

I've tried the poison in PvE, ha, what a failure! Worse yet was my multiple failures in PvP 1-1 using poison. Thus all my excitment on having them stick tonight.

It just felt good! All that work, all those heals I smilingly dispense, all worth it!

The harder a mob is in PvE, the more effective poison is. Sounds strange, but fighting a Heavy Armor 90% resist npc or mob and hitting it with poison will outdamage the Master Pistoleer plinking away at it.

PvP requires 2 sets of poisons, 1 for range and 1 for power. For solo PvP, in ideal circumstances you hit your oppoenents from long range, then stay away from them till they drops.

so how would you implement that? you still have to get too close for comfort to use the power poison. what is an example of how you would use each in the same fire fight?

the above is how to get in range to poison a single target in pvp.

the power one is for when you are engaged in a larger battle and can get closer to the targets to lob the ae.

i think it would be better worded as

single target poisons go for range.

ae's go for power.

I'm just starting to see people selling this stuff on Chilastra mainly because the medic market is being vocal about needing these resources. I've found finding someone that does mining and offering to pay them often will make them switch resources and help me out for a little bit.

As to having fun throwing a mind poison...yay! I had a blast the first time I was able to throw one and watch folks go down.

Our poison rock in PvE, just make sure to use them on something tough, for some reason they not working against low level mobs, however with posture-down you can take out pretty much anything (I soloed Dark Jedi quest with action poison, and those were 10000+ HAM NPCs).

Chilastra has excellent resource market at the moment, props to all suppliers and all the medics who asked them to sell the stuff.
I bought all resources needed to make poison on Coronet Bazaar just the other day.
If your server does not have them - it's either because you did not look (make sure you use "Eniter Galaxy" and "next page" button) or because you did not ask.

Yep yep..I use out poisons in PVE all the time. I find them very useful and effective. They shorten battle time and sometimes will keep that red mob from getting a chance to DB you if it incap's ya cause it does walking towards you. I love that

For PvE, I use Action poison C, plus Action Shot 1 and 2. With all three stacked, and using an Elite Carbine, their action drops at about 1.5k per tic. That's using only decent quality of the normal poison components. If I used higher quality components, and experimented them with my doc skills now, then used bleeds with my laser carbine, I could probably get the damage to at least 3k per tic on PvE.

In summary,

for PvE, Poison + Bleed = dead mob

(Just be sure you have a pet to take the damage for you while their health drops!)
