I'm currently MBH/MRifle/CM 0300 (working for 0400). I'm trying to find a good jedi hunting template using rifles. My question is would it be better to keep the cm dot line or go 4000 for healing? If I go with the healing line, what kind of healing rates can I expect? Right now I'm getting around 150-250 pt heals from the bacta toss/spray/etc..

you should be able to significantly increase your heal power with the toss/spray enhancers

i tested some toss enhancers (1161 effectivness) in a 2402 cm template --without the enhancer the heal was 350ish and with the enhancer it jumped to 560s (i think it averaged around 1.5 times) not sure about 4000 cm --remember enhancers are subject to dimishing returns i think so it wont be 1.5X your base at 4000cm

Someone said in another thread that with CM 4000, they could out heal most jedi. Is it a better stratgy to try tohave great healing to outlast their forceor to keep dottingthem and make them waste force that way??

If I concentrate on healing ability, rilfe/bh specials are more than adequate for damage dealing I would think. On the other hand, poisons are fun....

I'm so conflicted...

no way you can out heal a jedi

you get 4 forms of heals at cm 4000---you get bacta toss on 15 second timer to heal for 6-800 depending on use of enhancer, you get bacta spray that is also on 15second timer healing for 450ish with enhancer and finally you get a bacta stab--that is on 6second timer healing for low 300s without any doctor skills. Lastly you can have a 1160ish stim D healing every 60 seconds. Doctors are much better self healers in combat--they get large heals of 6-800 every 6 seconds (bacta jab and bacta stab)

I have a BH and use 0004. The paralize is rather handy with Defenders and is also nice to give you a moment to heal up. In the 15 sec you can heal most of your own damage and at the same time prevent them from healing and if they are a defender you drag down thier avoid incap time.

I have not tried it on a jedi with cloak but since other dots work I suspect this would as well.

Also TR is helpful to slow thier attacks down a few sec.

The issue I have faced with using dots on Jedi is that they dont stick very often and the time you are rooted while trying to land it can be painful.

I will preface this with the fact that I am not a super successful Bounty hunter, but mainly because i hunt the knights and almost knights, but either way.

I am MRM/MCM/4xxx BH. If I find my mark, I first sit at 65m and hit em witha snare and some headshots. Then, when they get close, thats when I lay down a paralyze, shock, electro, and thyroid rupture. Now they have 40% lower attack speed, a 2minute snare, and lowered resistances to fire and poison that I will throw next. By the time paralyze wears off, i usually have both of those on and maybe even enough time to move out to 30m, then i throw a fire and a poison on em. Then its just headshots from there and the occasional paralyze to put some more distance and heal. I can usually make a jedi run out of force healing before I end up dying.

I have a question though! Whenever I try to use enhancers in PvP, it says "invalid target". How do i use these in pvp?

Impressive... Most impressive. I didn't really consider the possibilities for the bio warefare line. That's good stuff.Colonel, have you been able to take down a knight solo with that template?

I'm an MBH/MP/4xxx CM and I'll tell you to take hte healine line of course.

I fought around 3 Jedi today, and the only reason I survived any ofthem was because i could heal myself almost as wlel as they could. I outlasted his force and he tried to run. Stopping shot, whittled him down till that broke then KD'd and Critical to finish.

Happened about the same for the other two as well.

I had the poison line before and I really couldn't find it anywhere as useful as the healing line.

nice, I was going to give this exact set up a try this weekend for the exact same reasons.

couple of things:

first, the reason you are getting the -Invalid Target- message is because the healing enhancers are bugged a bit and think that you are trying to heal your opponent, you have to DE-select your opponent to get them to work on you.

second, the hit / miss ratio of poison and fire for NON master MCs is off....WAAAY off. it is VERY, VERY difficult to get the DoTs to stick as a non-master. we have listed this in our issues thread and are hoping it will be addressed. you can burn through your action and mind pools quickly trying to get the blessed things to stick on an opponent. as a MCM i would not give up my DoTs for anything, however if you are dabbling, i am going to have to say 'go with healing' it will help keep you alive much more than DoTs will help you win fights if you are soloing.

hope this helped a little?

I haven't really had a chance to play around with the x4xxx line of CM...if in everyone's honest opinion, would you stick with it in hopes that it will be looked at and fixed in a reasonable amount of time (no smuggler/GCW issues!) or would you go with the healing line anyway because a fix is not on the horizion.
