Thread: Poison Effect and Potency?
Potency: 105-110
Effectiveness: anything around 250 is a great poison. I've seen some over 300, but the resources have to basically be perfect for something like that.
potency of 110 will usually stick in pvp, I'd say 90% stick rate. Effectiveness at masteris just x2=damage. so an eff 250 poison is 500 damage per tick (if you're a master, dunno if it's different for non masters). I think mine are 244 or something.
At master CM the range mod on the poison is x2 for your actual range. The formula is a little more complicated then that, so it's different then x2 if you're a non master (I think).
I never experiment on Potency. It has unexperimented Potency of 127-130 using Adv. Resilience component.
As for effectiveness, depends on my mood, I can have a 94 meter 280 tick Area poison or I can have a 74 meter 498 tick Area poison.

The same goes for single, but normally if I focus on effectiveness, I get 692 tick single at 74 meter.

If you are lucky like some people you can get your hands on some good Class 1 Radioactive. The ARCsI make are 70x52 and the base potency is 120+ without experimentation. Using regular decent resources you can maybe make around 23x20 RCs and get a base of 65+ on them. So you can see you will have to use maybe 2-3 points to push it past 85...more if you want to pass 100...
For effectiveness it varies too greatly per server to say which is best. On some servers the best they can get is only 200 eff. Others upwards of 350. I'd say once your potency and range meet your satisfaction, put all the other points into effectiveness to make the best possible poison.
best poisons i made on starsider are currently 270 effec, 106 potency, 38 range, 43 charges.
this is using basic resilience compounds (starsider has never seen class 1), along with the 2 other components (advanced).
i think they are pretty good considering i only started collecting resources about 2 weeks ago.

Whats your ADM look like? 23x18x8? Did you put any points into range? Potency? or all into effectiveness?
