Its the stuff between your toes that makes your feet stink.

Fungus is rarely farmed and sold on the bazaar since it have very few uses (not many chef foods require). Therefore it would be in your best interest topay someone to survey a concentration for you then farm it yourself.

Go to SWGcraft.com and look under "current resources". I visit that site everyday in hopes that some good yavin fiberplast will spawn.

you can't find ANY? Thats impossible. Just check the planets.

You can also use www.swgcraft.com to help you look for resource spawns.

Most probably will pick it back up tonight if I don't go shoot some pool to let off steam.

Next question is, pistol or rifle. I'm tired of the melee proffs, even though they are much more survivable. I've mastered pistol and carb before with Pip, but never Rifle. I just can't get into the rifle 'feel' though, ya know what I mean?

Sorry, got all giddy and chatty to find a post with more than 3 replies that did not mention cures, AoE, innoculations, nerfs, range, accuracy, always hitting, "I win" buttons, unbalanced, dps, mind damage, FotM, PvP, Ii quit PvP bucause I refuse to use tactics, I have never played CM but I will tell you how to play your profession, I have mastered CM, for 1 weeks duration for a holo so I feel I have a say as to the nerfs, er, I mean changes that should be implemented, you never miss, it's unfair that you don't have a 75% PvP reduction while everybody else does, you should quit whinning and use your area heals even though everybody else doesn't need them, you never miss, you are a support class, you don't deserve to do damage, you are a combat class, you don't deserve innoculations, I lost to a CM the first time I ever PvPed so you should be nerfed, quit crying, you never use your mind heal ability after you have 500 mind wounds, why don't you use those AoE healling stims when 3k health and action HAM players actually suffer enough damage that the regeneration doesn't erase the damage in 1.2 seconds.

Well damn, I just spoiledshiznit outa this thread, didn't I?

Sorry. To answer the question at hand, Fungus is available on every planet. The stats are different for each planet, and those stats change every 5-16 days for organics. The problem is, every time the stats change, you best places to place flora harvesters also changes on these planets (although I have discovered that the highest concentrations for certain types of resources (organics, gasses, chemicals) seem to have certain patterns. For reactive gasses on naboo in Flurry, for example, I have 5 places to look where chances are I will find a 80= % spot most of the time).

The best way to find out which planet in your galaxy to have good fungus is to either network with other CMs or to check out either swgcraft.com or agent's swgcraft filter resource site in the FAQ. After that get the survey ability in artisan, hire a surveyor, or trust in blind luck as to place a harvester in a high concentration spot. If you are on Flurry, send Pip an email. Not only do I gather my resources, I also gather for the guild's med personel, and for the oldest active weaponsmith on the server. I have never failed to give a waypoint to anybody who asks for one of a resource i am currently mining (of course, this is after i already have all of my harvesters planted.) In fact, i often try to find spots for resources i am not mining if people are nice enough.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask them here, or to send me a private message on these forums. If I don't know how to best answer your question about harvesting, I bet i can find a person who can. Good luck, and keep me posted.

Gonna go with pistol again. I am spoiled by the weaponsmith I resource hound for. I have a really nice goe blaster and some krayt republics to use, but that will mean not using the nice jawa and the wicked krayt E-11 rifle that almost makes ranged mitigation meaningless in PvP.

I like the idea of pistol because

  • it has a faster firing rate

  • it 'seems' to have an easier time to get the speed cap than rifle, even though all the rifle guys tell me otherwise

  • it is less common now a-days than the Cm/Rifle template

  • the promise of dual-pistoling (sometime after the soon to be around the corner CB, I am sure)

Update: Took up novice CM again, will be dropping BH as soon as I get the crafting exp to get the 4th box in CM. I qualify for novice rifle, but already have novice pistol and oneboxof the combat exp line in it.

Do regular quenkers till you're pulling the hair out of your head for fast 2500+ exp per kill. Knock out whole 15 spawning lairs in the time it takes you to kill 3 pickets with ease and level all 3 rifle exp trees in 3 days. The combat exp is a pain but c12's help ALOT.

Republics are great but without BH eyeshot your attacks are all Health based and easily mitigated by buffs and heals. Geo's are great fun but the second someone puts up a psg or has a stun chestplate its as powerful as a water pistol. Pistoleer's only saving grace is the DE-10 but once again you have the same problems as the republics.

I like the idea of pistol because

  • it has a faster firing rate Speed matters not thanks to the cap.

  • it 'seems' to have an easier time to get the speed cap than rifle, even though all the rifle guys tell me otherwise Yes you need to get +6 worth of speed attatchments to hit the speed cap with a T21 but 1.5 sec's is still pretty darn fast. Especially with a 400+ damage rifle and medium-heavy AP.

  • it is less common now a-days than the Cm/Rifle template True that

  • the promise of dual-pistoling (sometime after the soon to be around the corner CB, I am sure) More like 20 blocks down the road instead of around the corner. You still have JTL, combat revamp, GCW revamp, and smuggler revamp to go.

Update: Took up novice CM again, will be dropping BH as soon as I get the crafting exp to get the 4th box in CM. I qualify for novice rifle, but already have novice pistol and oneboxof the combat exp line in it. Bounty Hunters with the new point reductions have become offensive and defensive powerhouses once again. DE-10's and eyeshot are great even against high resist composite. Loving mine...hating forcerunning jedi though

The dps, variety of weapon types, and high AP is why I stay with Rifleman over carbines and pistols. It lets me stay viable in both PvP and PvE even without poisons.
