Thread: Question: Group Problems & Getting Med.XPs

Either ask them to go on leave or declare and get your medical xp. You are going to have to get your group to cooperate with you if they want the heals.
Oh, trust me, I tried that. The best I get is usually a curteous, "No." But who's willing to listen to a low tiered Novice Doctor or CM? The Jedi do the healing in between them, so I'm sort of extra baggage. Nevermind that with the current template I mentioned in my earlier reply, that my Improved Bacta Shot alone averages 800 pts... I still get no help, even a change in who ever pulls first. If I hit Master Doctor or Master Combat Medic, then yes, I'll have more say. You have either of those titles up, esp. M.Doctor, the group WILL listen to you. And I'm looking forward to that day.
"Wait, that's not a good idea. What? Told me to F* off? Well, I'll take my heals and my rezzing *** out of here then. I'll heal your wounds at the Cloners. PEACE!" LOL

Even if the Jedi get most of the heals in, if you heal even 1 point, you get the full med xp.
guess i should have made it simple like that

I brought this up at fan fest, and is the first thing on the CM issues list. Hopefully it will get altered.
Take what I say with a grain of salt, since this is the first time I actually tried any of the elite medical professions.
But I thought it weird that Combat Medics get no Medical XPs for using their signature, offensive medical skills.
That's my newb opinion.

We actually used to, before the CU...
I have Doctor 4000 and Combat Medic 0001.
I am trying to find other ways to get Medical XPs other than through healing. I no longer get XPs for healing wounds (pre-CU) and mediocre buffs available to my character currently. To make matters worse, getting Medical XPs in a group is a very dicey affair. The guys that attract the hate/aggro always seem to be Combatant, Spec.Forces, or some affiliation that prevents me from healing them.
So, other than through healing, what low level CM specials allow me to gain Medic XPs? I tried Electrolyte Drain but it doesn't grant XPs. I tried Neurotoxin, but it never sticks, and if it does, I get no XPs. I have enough XPs right now to gain another Tier 1 box in CM.

Nothing nets medical xp other than healing or rezzing. Nothing, nada, goosegg. Medical xp is based on the level of the mob. Get a full group of hardass, pipe-hittin' players together and rip through your favorite xp spot filled with 80+ mobs. You heal one person who is doing damage to that mob and you gain the equivalent medical xp that they get in weapons xp. Get an entertainer buff and get a bonus too. You will average about 800k+ med xp in as little as two hours with a good group killing missions and everything else you see. Also, keep in mind that if you do any damage with a weapon to that mob, your med xp will be reduced.
Watch agro on AE heals, best to stay away from those unless you got good tanks or you can defend yourself. You gain the same xp whether you AE heal or single heal anyway. AE heal just makes things more manageable with lag.
If one person is being attacked by 4 mobs and you use a single heal on him, you get the xp for all four mobs when they die. If one mob is being killed and you heal one person attacking it even though a whole group is killing it, you still only get xp for that one mob. If someone is less than full health by even one point, they attack a lair and you heal them, you get full medical xp for that lair.

Dangit, that's exactly what I was afraid of, only healing in combat grants XPs.
It's just annoying, that even though I'm in a group full of CL80s, a good amount of the time I'm sitting with nothing to do since the ones being attacked all the time are always Combatant, Spec.Forces, etc... in whatever state that won't allow me to heal them.
Oh well...
Just don't do any fighting so you get full xp. Watch the areas tho, so you don't get aggroed. Follow the group tank, heal em once and clear out.
I always run overt anyway, and I spam areas when I go out with grinders. As a mcm/md I can out heal the damage I take anyway. Fight mobs that don't have range attacks and aren't social, so you don't get a bunch on you at once. I picked up around 500k med xp last night running with a lil group and then running through the avatar. Maxed pistol and rifle while I was at it.
Some one in the group will be on leave. I too ran in to this problem once.
Solution: I started chucking c12's that agros the whloe group. Every one took damage for me to heal.
Once enough stuff was agro and the group took damage it was no problem healing them.
