Thread: If your smart you wouldent use it.

Why do the CM's want to get nerfed. You keep using that spider venom and see what happens. I am a CM and have been for sometime. I refuse to use it and will never use it. Do you ever think it was put there for a reason? To perhaps justify an end result? Why do you want to give the nerfers ammunition? If you blend CM with any combat class and use reg. poisons and diseases you are plenty effective and balanced with everyone else. This class and game was at one point very entertaining now its rapidly going down the tube. Anyone ever heard of Creature Handler? CM and CH are what helps keep this game different.


If this class getsnerfed, any CM who uses Spider venomis partially to blame in my opinion.

You sound like a conspiracy theorist. If the devs wanted to nerf the class I'm sure they could manage to do so without some sneaky method of introducing a component just to provide a reason.

I guess my point is, this game is rapidy becoming boring. Before CMI was an aspiring CH and discovered it was worthless in PvP. I than picked up CM and 2 months later all the nerf talk. Whoever runs this game better get it down ouit or people will be leaving in droves. PvP is the smallest aspect of this game and yet commands all the attention.


Can't people understand that nothing is perfect and if it was it would be very boring.



And while your at it leave the CM forum to the CM's and everyone else shut up and go post and cry on your class forum!

Well if your going to say that useing Venom is to blame for the new nurf coming.......thats bs.All classes get nurfed and i do belive that CM does need a nurf in pvp BUT u cant blame it on venom.This game and all games like these are based on cool things u loot in the game to make your char better then the next guys.I use venom in all my disease and poisens.....i mean why wouldent i???.....Its like saying the Acklay bones and tissues have broke the game.....but thats not true,these are the things that make the game fun...to make yourself better faster stronger and more elite then the next player.


Dont get me wrong...i do think that the devs could do more beta test on the things they let happen,there should be no reason to have pre nurfed weapons and loots like 450 venom and 300 max dam acklay bones.

So what you are saying is regardless of the venom CM needs a nerf. Than that makes the venom even more insane. If the average player makes 600 tick poison (being a master cm) and still needs a nerf than you must have something I don't. I have tried PvP and I dont rule or win every battle. The only thing I can see that needs fixed is throwing past 64m. Its not fair we can damage at a range that no one else can but on the other hand a CH can have his pet attack at that range and the bio kimo's can hit at that damage range.


It is the Venom that is drawing attention and having people cry nerf. I also know that every CM doesnt have 600 tick poison. I also know to craft poison that high you have to either be paying out the nose for excellent resources or have artisan and spend a couple of months collecting resources (asI have been doing). Not camping out at the cave or paying large amounts of credits to get the venom.


Ibecame Imp becauseallI saw was Reb. Ipicked CM because my holo said medic and I wanted some combat ability with it. If I work at something I want it because I earned it, not given to me. The venom is a cheap shot and will cause the ruin of CM.

Rubbish!


Spider venom was hit with the nerf bat soon after it went live, now the stuff that drops quite frankly is not worth the effort to get. There is still some very powerful pre-nerf stuff out there but thats not going to last forever.


You can't base a nerf on a loot drops, by that argument I looted a power hammer (exceptional) with insane damage about 200-850 (still unsliced)and its got a mind poison DOT. Do we now nerf all swordsmans becauseI can do more damage than the average Heavy Swordsman?

I don't understand how this example relate. I could understand how if you looted exceptional hammer that make some swordsman way overpowered compair to all other combat profession, and that leading to nurf of all swordsman, and that would be wrong. But how does making one swordsman better than another swordsmen lead to nurf of all swordsman?

Anyway I was rather hoping the original poster was correct, that all these nurf calling for CM was because of one vastly overpowered loot drop and once that loot drop is nurfed everyone will be happy.

I look like you are right and spider venom isn't the reason for all these nurf calling which means I don't know what Dev will grab onto as the reason and act on it.

yes it would be wrong... as it would wrong to nerf all CMs because some other CMs have uber pre-nerf spider venom.


The nerf calls have nothing to do with spider venom, its the fact we can target the mind and people don't want to pick up doc to cure poison.

And this thread has come full circle. When people speak of nerf's they mention the 1000 tick hits. Would someone cry if they were hit with an average 400 tick? The 600 and 1000 ticks are based on master cm's (I don't know what the average use skill is on venom enhancedpoisons). My guess is that with with uber resources I could make 700 tick poisons, maybe a little better. Using the spider venom is adding fuel to the fire and enables a cm dabbler to have uber poisons with little effort in the crafting. I'm quite sure that when the crying is done with cm another unfair class will come up.


The bottom line is that someone campingat the cave to get itemsthat should be rare drops and making items that are very strong with little skill involved is beyond the concept of the game.The means is there to do it and people will. Just because the spedometer on your car goes to 130 doesnt mean you take it there, at least not often.
