I was told if I stacked the same disease on the same bar (ie: mind diseae -C) it would speed up the time it took to tick, is this true?

no it would not speed up the time.
you have to stack DIFFERENT diseases C + B
it may APPEAR to others that the speed has increased because the two tick at DIFFERENT times, but each only ticks once every 40 seconds no matter how many you try to stack.

if you throw your C and then 10 seconds later throw your B the C will tick at 40 seconds and the B will tick at 50 seconds (40 seconds after it landed) so now people think that both diseases are ticking every 10 seconds when in fact it is ONE disease, then the OTHER and the C will not tick again until 30 seconds AFTER the B (40 seconds from the last C tick)

Just reinforcing this post. NeoEcks states how the ticks work correctly.

Last time I tested stacking (which was admittedly months ago), diseases against the same stat did not stack at all. A stringer disease would replace a weaker disease and a weaker disease would get resisted every time. This is unlike poisons where stacking of different types against the same pool works.

wait a sec, so if i were to use a B and a C, disease or poison, it would tick for the B, then tick for the C making it have 2 seperate poisons/diseases?

yes, an area C ticks for different damage than a single C

so if you could live that long (which in most cases you CAN'T) you could throw

Single C
Area C
Single B
Area B
Single A
Area A

and all would tick their own damage off your opponent. sounds great doesn't it?

try it and see how many you get to throw (with the 3 second throw animation during which you are rooted to the ground, completely unable to move) before you are CRUSHED under enemy fire.

you have to play this class smart. one of the things i love so much about it

To the best of my knowlesge the above is NOT CORRECT.

Whats posted above is the way poisons stack. Diseases don't overlap each other. Only the most powerful disease will tick on any given bar. You can have a total of 9 diseases ticking at any one time (One health, strength, constitution, action, quickness, stamina, mind, focus, willpower). Only the strongest disease put on each will tick.

This may have been asked, but what about stacking poisons and disease?

Probably a dumb question, but I just wanted to make sure.

you can in fact stack poisons on a pool (i.e the mind pool) AND toss your most powerful disease onto the same pool.
