We are getting NERFED with this +1 poison doesn't incap anymore crap. A huge number of people who are crying to nerf the combat medic are using the excuse that "you are a MEDIC! You should not be able to stand a chance against another combat class" I believe that the only way to counter this misbelief and generalization is to get rid of the medic in our titles and replace it with the "CHEMICAL

OK, my daughter hit the enter key in the middle of typing... so I'm continuing what I wrote above:

You should not be able to stand a chance against another combat class" I believe that the only way to counter this misbelief and generalization is to get rid of the medic in our titles and replace it with the "CHEMICAL WAREFARE EXPERT" title. This is much more 'scarey' sounding anyway, and it's much more accurate for what we do. WE ARE NOT just SPIFFY STIM DISPENSERS! We are a combat class who has spent 169 skill points to show it! We work MUCH harder than all other combat classes (all the resources and time into crafting our only weapon).

So in summary: Everyone should universly change their name to "chemical warefare expert" ASAP, and leave it there... It may help defend us against nerf crying babies and future nerfs all together!

So what you're saying there Detchi, is that it's a wonderful change because it allows other players to continue to be stupid and lazy? And we won't get nerfed any further because those stupid and lazy players will now be happy and not cry for us to be nerfed?

Sorry if my faith in the stupid and lazy playerbase (i.e. the bulk of it) isn't as great as yours. I believe that instead we've invited future nerfs upon ourselves by showing that "hey, it really isn't all that bad!"

Why do people feel that the best way to make things better is to give in to the most inept among us?

Is this going to act like the diseases now? In that, I mean a diseased player that has been buffed will not take wounds past their buff +1. For example, 900 base + 2000 buff = 899 wounds from disease + 2001 un-woundable. If this change DOES make poisons work that way also, I think it's well worth complaining over.

Hmm, since I never use diseases (until the +1 change comes through anyway, hehe) I wasn't even aware that this situation existed.

How 'bout it Kavedawg? You seem to be the lone CM tester over on TC, can you check this out for us? That is, if TC will stop CTD and let you actually test something once in a while

We arent getting NERFED, we are getting balanced. You are a COMBAT Medic, so after being completely blinded by a small change to the medical side of our profession take a second, and remember that you have a gun, it deals more than one pt. of damage, so USE IT!

What this change means is that you need to be near a target to incapp them now. OMG, thats so horrible! What this change means is that we should hear less complaints and cries for NERF from people that dont know how to find a doctor in the search feature. Fantastic!

Easy for you to say, you're a near master carbineer. Try and stay open minded for those of us that went the doctor or artisan route.

its not that you are a medic and thats the reason why you shouldnt have a chance in pvP. its the fact that you are a COMBAT medic that you should be able to use purely medic skills to attack. It should be a mix of medical and combat skills. is it too hard for you to poison someoen then use a basicgun to finish them off? can you not do that? can you only poison at 70m, run out of range untill the target is incapped and then go DB them?

A combat medic is suppose to be a skilled fighter that helps people in their group, while fighting. You should have skills to apply healing faster and betterwhile engaged in combat. Right now as it stands you whole entire profession revolves around 1 skill. poison. I would of thought the true combat medics wouldnt be too happy with that.

While I don't approve of most nerfs, this one doesn't bother me too much. I rarely bother soloing anything, because I believe cm is strictly a support class. I use poison/disease give my group better odds, and then stand back and keep everyone on their feet. As for the combat in our title, use it. Once I've thrown my chems, and make sure the group is ok, I pick a target and start shooting, healing ppl in between. It works great, combines both the combat and medic, and everyone in the group is appreciative of my efforts. I have always played this way and will continue to do so.

Also, I really don't believe that by accepting this change we will be bringing further nerfs to our profession. Besides, the ARC will finally load! Woot!

And by the way, I do very little pvp so I realize this stategy may be greatly flawed in that respect. But there are always ways around the problems, we've found them before, we will find them again. I say we use this change to make our profession stronger....maybe the devs will someday look at ways to improve the combat (other than disease/poison) side of our class....../hoping.

KB1 is indeed what a combat medic should be, i /salute you for that.

I chose bounty hunter to be a bounty hunter, its a shame i dont have player bounties cuz if i did i woudlnt be part of GCW.

Its a shame people are choosing professions for the wrong reasons. How many combat medics only decided to be a combat medic because they saw someone slaughter a group of people using poison? i bet the people who did wont admit it.
