I'm at the bunker and everytime I do a mind heal I get wounds on all three mind stats, not only mind... Did they change it on purpose?

Healmind always did this. As I recall, at 0 battle fatigue, it does 40 mind wounds, 41 focus wounds, 42 willpower wounds, and I want to say 22 battle fatigue (not sure about that though).

And non-CM's wonder why we are reluctant to heal the mind of a rifleman rather than have them use a brandy or muon gold...

I remember one time I had my focus up real high and I only got wounds in my mind pool not my focus or will pools. Might be worth testing that out...

I'm not sure about "very high", but I know I've had +2000 on all the mind stats, and when I left the corvette, all three of my mind my stats were very wounded. I do not remember the exact numbers, so it is not clear if a high focus will reduce the wounds on the secondaries. However, it is highly doubtful thatit will eliminate the wounds on the secondaries.

i pull about 4,000 mind focus and will....with all my food and whatnot, and mind heal costs barely anything, i believe i was pulling something like 5 wounds to each, and 9 bf....

Now if we could just convince the dev's to get rid of the wounds and just give it a high mind cost instead you'd see more CM's use it.

I believe it use to be less costly when you had high secondaries, but that does not seem to be the case anymore. Evern with huge stats in the mind and secondaries at 0 bf, I still get the usual 40+ wounds in all stats plus 30 bf

Very nice observation, Whatspeakyou. Do you know what happens if:

1) You have 1000 focus

2) You get a musician buff of 1000 (so now have 2000 focus)

3) Take 500 focus wounds

4) Put on armor with 600 encumberance

Is your focus 900 (1000 focus + 1000 buff - 500 wounds - 600 encumberance), or 1001 (1000 focus - 600 encumberance - 500 wounds = 1 focus, +1000 for the buff)?

I would assume 900, but given what you said about armor making your focus 1 so you can't take more wounds, it's not clear. Does this encumberance actually limit the effect of wounds, or simply prevent acquiring new wounds?

based on wounds, no matter what buffs you got on top of your normal stats, subtract the encumberance from your normal stat amount and that is the amount of wounds you can have. So, in response to your question...

If you have 1000 focus to start with, it won't matter what buffs you get. The game thinks (when it comes to wounds) that you only have 400 foucs to work with based on your 600 encumberance armor. So, the max focus wounds you would be able to attain would be 400.

Make sense? it's kinda hard to describe. But basically you take your unbuffed stat number, subtract the encumberance of your armor, and that is the max stats you are able to attain. There is a reason for this:

Say your original mind pool is 1000. You go out and get ALL buffs (dancer and musician) and drink brandy, eat canape, and some Muon Gold too. Then, you receive a mind disease from a Combat Medic. You stay alive for awhile, but you eventually died and it seems around half or a little more than half your mind is wounds with all your buffs on. When you clone, your whole mind is gone. A disease cannot go more than the amount of original points in that stat, because when you clone, you cannot have a negative number as a stat and still be conscious.

So, going back to what i said in my original post... I can never attain any wounds in secondary stats with my heavy armor on, because i cannot have zero or a negative number as a stat for any category or else i will go incapacitated. The game will not allow you to gain more wounds than your originl stat (or stat with encumberance affecting it) because you cannot go any lower than that if/when you die. The lowest you can ever attain is 1, and eventhough you have buffs and all of that, it will wear off sometime, and when it does you can't have more wounds than available stat points.

Am i making sense?

oh, one more thing. For Combat Medics in PvP, this makes focus and willpower diseases pretty much useless. Most serious pvpers have ehavy armor like i do, and we won't be able to attain any wounds from your secondary stat diseases, thus rendering them useless.

ok, there is a reason why one would only get wounds on your main and not your secondary. I have tested this recently and don't know exactly how many people notice it... so here it goes.

Before getting buffs, if you are wearing a suit of armor which brings any secondary down to 1 BEFORE buffs, the game mechanics will not allow you to obtain wounds for that secondary. I have PvP armor (now used for PvE) that is composite. I didn't start wearing it on my alt until my ubese armor (which i just found out ubese is actually a race, but anyways) was destroyed. I always got wounds on all my stats when fighting in ubese armor. Once i put my heavy composite on and fought in that, i NEVER once got a wound in any secondary category, because the armor was so heavy that i had an amount of 1 on every secondary category without buffs. When you are buffed and have the same armor on, the game still seems to think you only have 1 point on that secondary category, and will not allow you to attain any wounds in those secondary stats.

Make sense? lol. I was rambling a lil' bit there. But yeah, i just tested this out over the past week and that is what i noticed. So, that may be why you never received any secondary wounds when using mind heal. My alt is a master CM and the same thing happens when i wear that heavy composite suit.

Whatspeakyou, what you said makes sense, but wasn't my question.

Based on your description, if you have "too heavy armor", you can't get any *more* wounds. However, if you have "too many wound" then put on heavy armor, will the armor be the correct wounds or not. So (as per my original question, order being very important), what will be your focus if you:

1) Start with 1000 focus

2) Get a musician buff for 1000 focus

3) Take 600 focus wounds

4) Put on 500 focus encumberance

Since you put the armor on after you have gotten wounds, is your focus 900, or 1001? I would guess 900 (I am guessing that the "you are at 1 focus so you can't become wounded" only applies to getting *more* wounds) but am not sure. Thanks.
