Thread: poision/disease crafting help.
Ok i am trying to craft poisions and diseases. ome questions i have:
1. Infection amplifier what is it used for? like does it increase power of p/d?
2. resilience compound what is it used for? Like does this help them resist it less?
3. dispersal mechanism? what is i used for? Like is this used in range of p/d?
4. to do decent damage i hear you have to be master combat medic, is the difference between mcm and tier 4 crafting that much?
5. for stim a through d people do not need to use adv components to get good heals, do i need to use adv components in poisions/diseases to get good reults. Example will no adv components hit for like 200 a tick and adv components hit for 300 a tick?
If anyone can help me out with these questions.
When crafting each of the components it'll tell you what it affects such as duration, potency, range, and power.
A and B packs are reletivly weak for the amount of resources needed. I only ever made one A poison which took 4 applications to stick to a chuba and do 35 mind damage
. C packs are where it's all at.
Yes the difference between lvl 4 meds is that you can only make B packs or below. You have to be master cm to make c packs.
To get the best results, adv components are a must.
my basics single Cs do 520ish
AOE Cs 320ish...
dont really bother with advanced comps...besides all i use is mind poison its unhealable it will kill u...
so even with basics its a kill u in 2-3 ticks not 1-2...
it all depends on teh quality of your resources and luck in experimentation Karlace.
with crafting IV and no advanced components you should get single targets up to 300 but it all depends on where you spend your points.
just made a Mind C for a friend who ain't Master yet and experimented it down to 50 use / 99 potency / 27Range /30 uses /180 EE
so potency determines resist factor?
what determines damage output?
Damage = Effectiveness + MedcialUse skill %
So if your poisions effectiveness is 150, and Usage skill is 100 the damage will be 300 per tick.
I'm not sure on the easy of use but i think that is % chance to land also, could be wrong tho. 50 Easy of use = 50% chance of the poision landing.
I do not believe potency is a strict precentage. From what I have seenan area poison will be resisted more then a single one when they have the same potency. I could be wrong however, that is just my experience.
I can only shake my head when people say that adv componants are not usefull. I mean sure you may not need the 700+ damage a tick BUT why not keep your poison around 450-500 (currently my singlesdo around 400 with1 advanced componant...dispersail mechanism but that does not increase the power it increases range, area, and charges... but I tend to get a tad more potency then some 85ish for singles 90ish for area) and push the range that you can use them up. Thats what I plan to do when the resources finnally spawn on my server.
My area poison C does about 330 dmg per tick with basic components, and it has a potency of 90 and up, i rarely ever see it resisted...one drop in anchorhead and i can get like 20 rebs poisoned at once, and maybe one will resist...
my single poison C is never resisted, atleast it hasnt been yet. and that does like 400 dmg per tick with basic components and low quality petro-fuel
