Can we have some street tiles? Collections of buildings out in the wilderness with no streets are quite boring. Theres enough space between each placed building and other placeables to drive a bus through.

The Devs are concerned with the way the ground would be deformed by flatening it to place streets.
Personally I think we should be able to pave streets within city limits as long as the ground is some-what level. Perhaps have Player cities auto-pave the entire city (once again, within reason for some-what level ground)

I don't know. if they're available, I would assume that the terra-forming these cause (since they will be structures) would lag your city to hell and back, and you can only place them on flat ground.

I've answered this on the poli forum a few times, the reason it's not possible is the same reason why they can't get rid of the flora within player cities.
I'm all for roads, but it seems to be an technically unreasonable request

Wait..but they can have gardens???They are structures...it would be like a structure like about .02 meters thick and can be walked on so it would act kind of like a garden but without the large fees(each square of road would cost a certain fee to keep up and clean)
