Thread: Decoration limits and Lightning

There are major flaws in house designs but what concerns me is about lightning.

Why does lights are not homogenic, why a light flashes on wall but does not light an item between wall and light? Why lights flicker in parts of house, why can't we put paintings exactly to wall, why do we loose our feet in room (left of entrance in Tatooine guild halls)

Too much to ask

I would like to know how to put the paintings on the wall at all? I can't get them close to it at all? Would be nice if they had a hang command from the radial menu for items such as paintings to decorate your house.

I may have an answer to the above thread, but please feel free to correct or add if I have omitted or made an error. In my experience with Tatooine Houses, I've found the following....

1. Houses in this type of house are compsed of two types of wall

(i) Flat

(ii) Concave/convex

I've found that the flat walls present no specific problems in getting an object flush to the wall. I would advocate that you use the typed command system of moving the object. I've found that the radial doesn't allow the tweaking that the typed system does. Use the command /move *direction* *distance*. The movement is between 1-500 and allows fine adjustments. I've also found that walls which are convex/concave in some way,or have a curved skirting to the bottom of the walls present certain difficulties getting the object flush

Not sure if this applies to other sorts of houses, but I hope this helps in some way

When I hang a painting I get as close to the wall as I can and drop the painting. Then I face the wall, target the painting and type /move forward 50. this gets the painting as close as possible to the wall.

Hope it helps!

Ofcourse 50 move helps on Naboo & some generic houses with flat walls. in Tatooine Houses, they simply need at least 50 more or some of paintings stay inside wall from upper side.

Fun really, in space there is no lightning problem in curved walls, why in ground. In space lights dont flicker either when put together..
