Thread: Toon resizing and multiple occupant couches.

Anyone ever notice that their toon resizes to a "standard" size when they sit down?
I find this disturbing.

Is it possible to code the couches and benches so that they can seat more then one person in different possitions on the couch? A nice graphic action showing a toon scooting over to make room for a new person sitting would be cool.

Also I want to be that short little old lady driving the speeder at walking speed and can barely see over the dashboard.

Well I had this idea of multiple occupant seats idea when I thought of the /yawnandsneakarmovershoulder emote.

Avatars default to the.. well.. default size when sitting because the "sit in chair" animation is motion captured and uniform for everyone. If they didn't default to that size, you'd have problems where people's feet would sink into the ground, or their butts would'nt actually sit on the chair.

It would be cool if they game dynamically adjusted the feet and butt and everything to the Z azis of the involved surfaces, but considering that they can't even make us use the correct sit animantion in a starship cockpit, I'd say you're not going to see it any time soon.

Remember, they have "bigger" problems to deal with. The size of their paycheck. (Only Joking, Developers.)

Oh oh another brain fa... er ..idea...

Shelving that actually shows the contents.
Different types of shelves to show different types of items. Weapon racks, resource container shelves, factory crate shelves. The item type specific shelf can still hold other items but it just won't display them.

Imagine a shelf with a row of weapons, resource containers, deeds, crates.

This will save time "arranging" items onto a shelf.
Accessing items would still have to go through the access window.

To save time on structure load time, the items on the self won't show until said shelf is examined by the viewing party.

That would be awesome it would reall put a porupose for that. And for beds They need a sleep thingy where you accualy lay down.
