How does an increased maintenance for a house/structure that has an increase item capacity sound?
For every 10% of base additional increase items count in a structure, the maintenance increases 20% of base(rounded up).
A maximum of 100% extra items can be put in a structure.
House item limit can be bumped up or down in 10% increments via struture control.
House item limit can not be bumped down below base or if the downsize will put the item limit below current item count.
For example:
A medium naboo house holds 200 items and has maintenance of 34 per hour.
If a person want to bump up the item limit once, item limit goes to 220 and maintenance goes to 41 per hour.
If a person wants to bump the item limit again, item limit goes to 240 and maintenance goes to
48 per hour.
If a person wants to bump the item limit to the max, item limit goes to 400 and maintenance goes to 102 per hour.

Well the thing is you'll be paying 2 times the amount and use up the twice the lot spaces to hold the same amount of items.
This way you save lot spaces by paying 3 times the amount. It seems like a reasonable exchange.
Imagine being able to decorate a guild hall properly with 800 items....Yes it'll cost you a pretty penny...but then you don't use up an extra 5 lot spaces.
Don't forget that mechants get maintenance discounts...
