I think it would be cool if you could land your ship in more than just a few NPC cities.
I think it would be cool if you could land ontop of guild halls, it would also be cool if when you land that you get to see your ship.
Sure the ships in the films cool land practically anywhere!

A small animation when we land our ship, could look
something like the startports do today but with
our ship "skin"
THough i wish we could take it to a further level,
and let us walk around our ship in a hangar or something.
I really want to tweak my ship for real

If I remember correctly the devs said this could be a future addition.

I've been against this idea, mainly as starports are one of the few reasons players go to NPC cities nowadays. The advent of mounts, vehicles, and player cities sucked a lot of people out of NPC cities and out into the wild and player cities, since then, it appears that the Devs have made multiple efforts to get players back into NPC cities with some degree of success. If Joe Mayor can plunk down a starport in his city, then players will have one less reason to go to an NPC city.

I agree. If every city had a starport, you would never see big crowds of people anymore. It would be sad ![]()

Yes i think it would take loads of ppl from the npc cities,
maybe they should change npc space port instead then.
And make npc cities more atractive for players to visit,
but player cities need a upgrade to

i'm against the idea of player starports too because of the same reasons listed above. who would go to npc cities? can you imagine people going to some player city starport instead of coronet? can you imagine theed empty because of people landing in tal valor (on intrepid)? think of the doctors who depend on the large crowds of people for buffing. anyhow, i do think that there might be a good compromise. i think the top 1 or 2 cities on each planet should have the ability to get a starport. that way, people CAN land at the top metropolis(es) of each planet if wanted but to allow people to land at joe shmoe's population of 20 city would be crazy. i just think that adding starports to player cities would disrupt the economy and high population npc cities.

It would be nice, especially when you live on Lok and there's only one starport.

I still do not understand why people care about the NPC cities. Player Cities were put in to let us control growth and development. With the exception of ID tents, the bazaar, and starports, there is NOTHING else the npc cities have to offer. I fail to see the harm if player cities had these three things.
