Just a thought I had. Cities outwith Theed, Bestine, Eisley and Coronet are very rarely used, on eclipse anyway. They are like ghost towns.

Back at launch I remember Keren and moenia being well populated. Moenia was a place were no over imperials dared go due to the sheer mass of rebels there. The very day I got off the ship I started in Moenia and the number of people there is easily comparable to modern day Theed or Coronet.

What happened? Player cities killed it? Nah i dont think its that. I think there is just no reason to go to these cities.

Why not give different cities bonuses like player cities have

Keren - Medical Centre to get better buffs there

Deeja could have dance/music mods so you get better healing and mind buffing

etc etc

If each city had a use they would be used more. Then maybe we could finally see once again the NPC cities populated as they should be.

I remember when I started the game, keren was always full with players. That used to be one of the big naboo cities I went to, keren, bestine, and coronet were the main cities I went to for months. Keren was a fun place, but I went there a few weeks ago for BH missions and it was completely dead

-I support a Galactic Civil War fought between regular, average players... Simply strict, hardlined Imperials & freedom lovin' Rebels fighting for control of the galaxy. A Galactic Civil War fought not with glowsticks or lightsabers, but with blasters, lances, and how much guts you have. A Galactic Civil War which reflects the timeline, the destruction of the Death Star, the absolute control which the Empire has and the brave Rebels trying to break up that reign... The extinction of all but a few rare and special Jedi. That my friends, is the Galactic Civil War and that is what we have to aim for.

I remember when I started on Starsider a year and a half ago that Mos Espa was well populated. Always atleast 5 people in the cantina with 5-10 others in the city. Also whenI spent a month or so on Talus, Dearic was populated as well.

But I agree, give the cities the bonuses like player cities. Obviously the stronghold cities should be given stronghold specialization. And make it so the other cities vary from research centers and the like. That way there is more of a reason to control a planet so you have access to the specialized cities, without the chance of attack.

This is a good idea but I think you'll find its to do more with the fact that not so meany people play the game anymore so some servers are emptier compaird to others I've been on eclipse since day one and play it at kest 5 hoursa day! I have watched the server shrink in size in big numbers just of late theres a shortage of player citys aswell now. But if you look at Ahazi witch I also have a player on since about day 7 (lol) the amount of players has gone down a lot slower the eclipse so the NPC citys ar sill busy. Coronet is stil a spamers paradise some days on Ahazi but I haven't seen that meany players in coronet for a long time its sad but I don't think theres a way to sort this!!!! Unless SOE do something amazing to draw the players back and get new ones!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I remember seeing a thread a while ago about a idea to marge the les populated servers with others servers this sound like a radical idea but the more I thing about it the better it sounds!?!?!?! (I' going to get flamed for that lol) yes it will be hard work to do and you have the problem of overlad of player citys/vender etc but if you look hard enough you'll find that some citys a ghost towns some venders a empty and most places can be move by a few haunded meters and still work fine!!!!!!!!!!!!! All thay would have to do then is let the afected know whats happening/happened! But we all know the this will now happen (but still may hapen s its not unhard of this has hapened to two MMORPG's in tha past and there still going today) Theres also on other option but its a pain just move to a new server and start new (then agin SOE could just offer this for free just to get peeps off the dieing servers!!! Thay could also put a small house deed in all invents of the move players and give them 100k extra to help them get re settled on the new server) this one isn't as hard as the merging option it is easy to do and means that once the old server is empty thay can just turn it off!!!!!1

Or you can put faction NPCs in the city that can be farmed and watch the player population rise. I swear every NPC city I have gone to since the new patch has arrived there are people in them, of course they are only running around farming npcs, but hey you can not expect the devs to come up with a creative and worthwhile solution.

Well there is another solution of course... take a page out of EQ2's book, and allow for instanced housing, apartments and guild halls. Additionally, like EQ2 have a small selection of buildings that you can get for an insane maintenance fee that are not instanced. Perhaps 1 massive guild hall, and a few really big houses depending on the city size of course. Then taking that one step further, allow for people to have shops in these instances, perhaps introduce a commercial zone where there are instanced shops and residential zone for the houses etc. This all may go to keeping the cities populated, of course there could be the argument against this as it could be a detriment to player cities, but then it could make player cities that much more prestigious. Give every newbie that comes in a free tiny apartment and from there they have two choices, pay for the privilidge of owning a bigger and better apatment and then the maintenence on it, or move out to one of the player cities if they want a specific house design and freedom. Any way, just a thought, perhaps as a community we can expand on this and make it something for the Devs to take notice of.

And maybe give Rori a whole planet bonus. Does anyone even visit that place anymore?

Ok i have an idea.

I think its to easy to create a city, so if we make that a litle harder

then we will see less citys (i think its to much cities now).

And in the same "patch" they make it more expensive to have a house.

House is a richman living and not for everyone, then let us put in

apartments in the npc cities and let us have difrent size and prices

of them to. I dont know but this is a thought, please make it bette
