does anyone know if there is a planet or even galaxies wide limit to the number of player placed shuttle ports. we're on bloodfin and been waiting for progress to the next level to place a shuttleport for ages without progress. there are roumours that even when we or if we progress we can't even have a shuttleport due to planet maximums?
has anyone else found this anywhere?

Yes, there is a limit on the number of shuttleports a given planet will allow. I am not sure on the exact numbers, but I believe that it is 10 on the three major planets (Naboo, Tattooine, and Corellia) and 25 on all others. Oh, by the way, it is not (if I recall correctly) a limit on shuttleports themselves, but cities of a certain size. So, for the shuttleport, there would be a limit of ten size three cities on Tatooine. You might go over the population requirement, but your city would not advance past stage 2. For the exact numbers, I recommend browsing the Politician boards. I think they have a pretty good FAQ there that covers all the fine details.

I started a city 4 weeks ago on Bloodfin. This limit is one of the major reasons I picked Talus for my city. Got a shuttle a week ago with no problem.
