Cities And Housing Archive

OK, this is a long shot, and I'm not even sure if this is the right forum for what I need. But I figure, since it vaguely has to do with housing and there might be some people familiar with planet geography in here, I'll give it a shot. When I was a CH last year, I travelled all over southern Corellia looking for nests and babies to tame for XP. It was slow, but when I had a myriad of commands at my disposal I was guaranteed 1100 XP for each baby I successfully tamed and released after training. At the low levels, this was fairly fast, considering the number of nests you can find as you whip through the countryside on your swoop.

On my server (Corbantis), there was a Rebel city with a base in the south of Corellia, right along the "planet" boundary. It was a solid row of houses with no gaps in between, and I would have to turn North in order to bypass it since I couldn't cut in between the houses. When I came to the first part of the city I could cut through, I'd continue my easterly journey. At least twice on this run, I flew directly across a small lake in the middle of the woods in south-south-east or south-east Corellia that had a small island in the center, just small enough for a house or two and no bigger. I knew as soon as a I saw it I wanted to build my house there, but someone had beaten me to it.

I quit last June and picked up the game again a few weeks ago, and I've been looking for this place again to see if it's clear, finally. I've flown all over southern Corellia trying to recreate my path, but I can't seem to find it again. The city's long gone and I don't remember the name, and without those artificial landmarks I can't find the exact route I took. I don't remember if I crossed the river in the center of southern Corellia or not, but I do know that it was in the forested area and not in the hills that surround the eastern city of Belle Vistal (sp?). Anywhere from the planet's boundary at the very south all the way up to the river junction southeast of Coronet is fair territry for what I'm looking for, and that's a lot of ground to cover for one guy on a swoop.

If you know where this is, please let me know! I'd love to build my house there, and if you're on my server I'll even give you a modest monetary reward for helping me find it. If you're on another server, then you'll have a nice out-of-the-way location to build your own getaway house.

That's a tough one. I tried looking at Simsimsan's SWG map for Corellia to see if I could spot the pond, but can only really see the rivers for sure. (The maps are nice because you can zoom in closer than you can on the planetary map, and they have lots of POIs labeled.) Maybe take a look and see if any other landmarks spark your memory?

There is a lighter blue spot under the word "mine" on the southern right hand border area where the map reads "Fenced Off Mine" but that looks too hilly on the map to be the spot you are talking about...
