Thread: docters in main citys buffing next to starport.

i find this a pain in the ass everyone crowed around a singel doctor in cnet waiting for a buff, tbh why not make medical centers in citys like cnet give better bonuses like 125+ if you use a droid and normal 110+ if you don't this way you get all the doctors buffing in the medical centers in NPC citys and not on the starport doorstep.

I agree with this as well. It wasn't so bad when they were at least "outside" of the starport.. but now if you load into C-Net you will always be greeted with the lag demon from the constant spam. I don't know how it is on other servers, but on Gorath it is rare to find docs outside of the starport now. Their all huddled inside right where ya load in 
Maybe if there was more of a benefit to them actually having to use the med centers in the npc cities they would. Good idea

As a doctor... I fully love this idea. A +125 med bonus (instead of the 110 medical droid bonus) towards buffs while in the med center would be totally cool! Five stars bud!

It should be the same in a player med center also.
Basically a med center wound treatment bonus

personally... i think the stats should be A LOT higher if you buff in the med center. make the med centers useful. maybe even add a feature like the 'attended cantina' for med centers. let me look on the map and see what med centers have doctors there. the way it is now is... hop from sp to sp and look for a buff line or group.

either make them = to the droids... or maybe make it take less time... so that a non-havla buff is 1/2 the time to perform then when not in a med center.. i know i would go all the way to the med center if i didnt have to wait an hour and a half for a buff

As long as they up the bonus.........yes, Doctors will move to the health centers and register. As long as droids give better bonuses and you cant use them inside........No, no matter what the TEF status. A doctor will give buffs where the buff is greatest, followed by where the traffic is.

It it lame that the med center is the LAST place to find a doctor!
Well when the TEF is abolished soon, docs wont have to worry about being forced out of a building when buffing because a Overt snuck in the line. Should be no reason then for docs NOT to use the med centers for their buffing.
What do ya say docs of the galaxies? You think the elimnation of the TEF would be good enough motivation for you to move your ops into a med center and out of the starports?
I like that I can find entertainers & dancers in the cantina but not being able to find doctors in a hospital is just wrong.

I do agree to this, I am a doc. The medcenters are really cool inside and should be the only viable place to do your
doctorin'. The only thing that might be said is have the second floor for buffing, the first floor for healing. (or in some cases one side and the other) Just to reduce the lag of walking through the door. I still use the medcenters to heal and buff myself and others (friends only. I do not buff the public)
I always said that docs should have to be in the medcenter, have to be. Droids should not replace public hospitals...it just don't make no sense...add to it yes, not replace. I like the idea of the added bonus of being in the medcenter AND having your med droid by your side, that would be a nice incentive to make the centers busy again. Hell I would rp my doc more often and spend most of my game time actually being the doc I worked so hard at becoming a year ago.

I totally agree that is a great idea and will put business BACK into the med centers which are totally unused now. They should provide the better bonuses. Why have med centers if they are useless?
They made it to where IDers need to use the tents or get advantages by using the tents, so tents are used....although they still have not given us player city tents GRRRRRRRRR..

I agree it is annoying to have docs all around the starport. As a doc I have tried buffing elsewhere, outside of starport like the old days and in medcenters people just don't come to you. I even charge less than most but non the less people go to the first doc they see. No matter how much you spam (which I also find annoying btw) everyone goes to the doc sitting inside. Honestly because of this I don't buff as much as I used to. Mainly just freebies for my guildies, lol. Also you can use your droid in the medcenter. I would be willing to buff in med centers without the bonus, even though that would be sweet!! The problem is getting customers.
