I am in the process of making a player city, and I am looking for a name. I don't want to use any other cities name, so I am wondering if when I add a name if the filter will automatically disallow it if any other city (across servers) has used it. I know it won't let 2 cities with the same name on the same server, but do same city name across servers exist?

No, I have seen many player cities that share names with cities on other servers. You would just have to explore the servers to make sure you don't pick the same name.

I've seen several servers with a city named "New Aldera", "New Hope", "Citadel", and a few other unoriginal names with copies floating around.

Damn, I thought this would be a good thread about how player city names should be filtered so we don't have stupidly immersion breaking city names.
