Hiya, first real post to the housing forum.

My thought for improving things in the cities is to dress up the NPC cantinas a little. Decorated player cantinas tend to be very nice, while every NPC cantina in the universe is the Mos Eisely Cantina, sans the band. Some thoughts on making these more pleasant places to be.

- Decoration: Consider the Coronet Cantina. Its a gray featureless wall with a black door on it. Compare this to the urban nightclub of Episode II. Corellia isn't Couresant, but neon lighting and garish holograms both outside and inside a place like this would lend a more urban feel. Hologram adds all over Corellian cities would be a characterful boost, especially around the space port where advertising is already the norm anyway.

- Limitations on where to perform: Cantina's tend to be packed or empty. They also tend to be packed right at the front door, getting progressively emptier the further in you go. Clear out the tables from an alcove on each side of the room inside the cantina, add speakers and a microphone or two, and make these the only places one can perform.

- Register, or Booking the Performance: For a dancer's abilities to function in a cantina, they must 'register', so that they show up on the map. Only a limited number can register for a given cantina, after which attempts to register will direct the entertainer to the nearest hotel or available cantina.

- NPC performers as decoration, not function: When an NPC cantina is empty, or no one is registered as a performer at the cantina, a group of NPCs will spawn. They will perform low level songs and low level dances, and provide zero in-game benefit beyond being heard. When a player registers at the cantina, these NPCs despawn and the player may take the stage as their replacement.

- Vendor bartender - Presently, one can buy low level food from a cantina bartender. An option simular to the 'galaxy wide bizzare' option could be added so that Chefs could have their foods listed on a planet's bartender menus for a fee.

That's all for now. Any other ideas? These were of course thought up after spending far too long in the Coronet cantina.
