One thing I would like to see is player cities being able to use more decorations

So here's to hoping they increase the amount that player cities can have.

Personally I'd like them to change the way player citys work from a "structure" standpoint..

I'd like to see much less emphasis on individual player homes and make player cities look more like real cities instead of ad-hoc suburbs.

I'd love to see the public buildings and skyscrapers etc like NPC towns have.

I'd like to see mayors get the ability to set npc's on patrols.

They could be non attackable, They could have differnt types Imperial, rebel, jabba, whatever faction you wanted or just civilian looking ones.

Just set the patrol like you do a droid or faction pet. Or just have them stand in place.

Would add alittle immesion to those ghost towns maybe 2 npc's each rank or something like that.

I'd like to see homes have a life span (instead of paying maintanence) and not be able to be redeed'd. (outside of player cities homes would still require maintanence) It doesn't make sense that after dropping a home it can magically foldup into a little square again and that it will never ever go away or fall apart. I'm not an architect and I have 2 large houses that I wouldn't look foward to replacing but currently all players pay maintanence that could be going to architechs making new homes. It's just a big black hole atm, u buy a house put it up and you spend credits keeping it there, but those credits are just leaving the servers economy.

If there was no maintanence, after 6 months you'd have saved enough to replace the home, and at that time a player can go buy a new deed and use it to reset the houses lifespan. This would also take care of homes that no one uses anymore. For the first 6 months they should probably just take the contents of the home if destroyed and drop it into a bank safety deposit (even if it's full) so that players don't lose things they want.

I'd like to see any "city" larger than an outpost have pavement between the buildings.

Oh yeah and if you look at it a certain way. The maintainence isn't really a black hole. The money goes from mission payouts-to the player-to house payments- and back again. Just like vehicles.

and the rituals that fade away, and the roses that cease to be laid, and it's clear to me that we're one foot in a very shallow grave

I would love to see modular housing. For example there would be different additions you could buy, such as, tower, basement, 2nd floor, 3rd...4th, deck, patio, balcony, storage, walkway, etc. You could only have so many depending on the size of the building. Also how much space there is for the module to be placed. A deck might not fit if there are houses surrounding your house. The addtitions wouldnt be immediate, but rather take time. Depending on the quality of the resources and experimentation would be the determining factor.

Walkways could only be established if two houses that you own are adjacent. Just go to the placement screen and bam! clicky and you have a walkway under construction.

For othermodules, itwould be like adding a schematic to a factory. You can put it in, and take it back, but if you take it back it gets destroyed.

You would also get somehigher item counts...but thats just a hope. Along with outside placement of decorations.

I have a few other ideas, but this is something that can be flexible and be applied to all houses.

The module idea is likely going to be the best update for architects. It seems like the most popular, along with the fact that we all like to think it will be easily implemented it should work. Outdoor mods would be helpful also so to help cities stop look like cookie cutter suburbs.

I had a longer post...but i accidently closed the screen, so this is the best i feel like writing now.

Houseing is one of the things SWG can boast of having massive support for, many MMORPG's cant even compete wit having houses. Because of this they should concentrate on improving this, like the dude before said make em more customable and make archs the only ones who can do it so we can get em back in business. I would love to be able to but walk ways and bridges and pavements in my city!!!
