Thread: Self-sufficient Player Cities?

I was wondering if it is possible to have a Player City that somehow manages to make enough credits to cover those really high maitenance costs. If any of you have ideas/suggestions/stories of how you can do this I would greatly appreciate it.

The only reason Mos Vegas is in the black is because it's situated very near the Krayt Graveyard PoI. I think that's probably the best way to insure self-sufficiency, and of course by now, any spots near good PoIs are taken.

I think a well stocked vendor mall might help too (not as much as being next to a POI). I find myself hunting for items and sometimes flying into one-horse towns for stuff if I see a cluster of vendors in that town.
