i am not an artisan, but i love loot and decorating my house
many people use their lots to put up harvesters
i do not use my lots except for my yacht and small generic house
i like the small house because it's the cheapest to maintain
i'll just cut to the chase:
-let us sacrifice lots for item capacity as an option in one of our menus
i don't use my spare 7 or 8 lots, but i am limited in showcasing my loot
for example: i sacrifice 1 lot for 50+ item capaity in my yacht or house, sacrificing 2 lots gives 100+ item capacity, etc.

Well, you can always rent your lots to other players who need them, that way you could make more money, which you could spent on loot to decorate your... no, wait a minute, you wanted *more* capacity in your house...
Get a bigger house, gets you rid of unneeded lots too!

storage is a complaint of msot crafters, and to be honest most players. The arguements i have heard against increasing capacity is the age old database complaints, and creating lag on the server. question is what creates more lag. one small house with say 750 limit, or 10 houses with the same limit?
You have all tried to travel across dant, or tatooine and every few seconds lag slightly while the server loads the multitude of homes, storage houses etc... If the devs thought about this a little better, and increased storage on houses (not halls etc) then ppl would probably just have theone small house and keep the rest for their harvesters etc...
all we can do is hope

One thing that would help this is the increase in resource stack amount as well as crates. Increase resource amount to 500k, and crates to 100. This would decrease database load and so opening up the way to add more stuff to the database.
Most of the time, it is the crafter's who have a problem. Combat (at the risk of the 1 stars) shouldn't really have the need for more space. Granted, a lot of people like to decorate their houses up all nice, but the main space taker that I found to be a problem as a combat orientated character, was the amount of useless loot that I had nothing to do with.
I would save this loot in the hope of it one day being useful. I suppose in hindsight, the better option would have been to put it in a vendor, on the bazaar or give it away. The majority of times, I just deleted it when better stuff came along.

As a side note, I as a crafter, saving resource for Weaponsmith am coming up to around 15 million units of resource and I've barely started........
