I am sure this is the case with every crafting profession in any server, but cant we get it to where in some way shape or form we could buy lots from other players or maybe buy them from architects or something, i want to be able to place more harvesters down and manufacturing stations. Really I cannot keep up without more, and the thought of using 5 other guildees lots doesnt sound good, what happens when the resources shift , i gotta get them out there to move em. I understand why we cant just go buy a lot because then the rich people would have the planets covered in harvesters, this I understand, but maybe make a trade system where you can sell your lots or something, i dont know. Also, how is it that some guys have 20 or 30 lots of their own, not someone elses, but theirs personally? Someone please shed some light on this for me.......

If you need more lots then you have 3 options.

1 - Buy another account and use the lots from your other character.

2 - Use lots from another player on your server, guildie, friend etc

3 - Do a cross server lot swap, you create a character on another server and a player from that server creates a character on yours, and you use eachother's lots.

Option 1 gives gives you the flexibility of being able to move your lots at will, options 2 and 3 mean that you need to rely on people to log on and move them for you. Generally people who do lot swaps do "static" swaps (houses, factories, static harvester farms etc) you will be hard pushed to find someone willing to come on and move lots every week or so.

Should have a Miner profession...get better surveying range and have 2/3 times as many harvesters...that would rock.

I suggest checking your servers Trade Forum to see if anyone is willing to do a lot swap (of course you'll need to check on another galaxy to)

I faced the lot issue week 2 of this game! In my former days of master doc (back when doctors could craft, grrrrrr, ok over it now) I added a second account. My main toon ran the factories and owned the home while my 2nd toon was the harvester king. I later added a third toon for more lots as well and found uses for all three toons.

a mining profession would be interesting, a 4:1 ratio for harvesters only lot wise.

Would be nice if, say, every year a player got two more lots... ah well...

more lots = more people complaining about even more structures and no "good places" to place a home

/agree

I have yet to have more than a temporary (for example, when I'm moving) problem with lots.
