I'm currently the owner of the city hall for our city. My alt is also a master Merchant for our city. I was wondering, if the 20% decreased structure maintence also applied to the city hall? I searched the forums but couldn't find anything.

Anyone know?

I would be surpised to see this apply to city hall, as the only, published factor that affects city hall maintenance is the city ranking.

Think about it, if the Master Merchant discount applied, it would be a HUGE savings at the Metropolis ranking, then everyone who is a Politician, would be running out and becoming merchants for this reason alone.

I think its safe to say the discount does not apply to civic stuctures.

20% of 600K per week is 120K a week right? That helps a lot! This would help many many people

my alt, who is mayor of Alya'Starn, Corellia, Starsider is also a master merchant

it doesn't appear that there is sort of discount on any of the city structures, in spite of him having the skill to put a discount on any structure that he's admin for.

or maybe I'm not doing something right? if I make a deposit to the city treasury, is that considered to be paying maintenance on city buildings? if not, then how can I apply my skill to get this advantage?

a rebate on the "missed discounts" because of this not working right would be nice too...

Has no difference at all, The city treasury isn't the same as paying maint, although it's a great idea. The money isn't distributed to the buildings the same way as paying maint. with the -20% mod. If this ever changes please let me know.
