My friend just informed me he is leaving the game. He is currently in ownership of one of my large homes, and I do not have the lots to transfer it. My question is, when his account is gone, will the house disappear? Or will it stay in place as long asI pay the maintenance? I dont want to lose my home!!

It should stay for as long as the character holding the lots isn't deleted alternatively purged by SOE and you keep up your maint.

How often does a character purge take place? I mean, I have a lot of stuff in there...I dont want it to just up and disappear...

as far as I know they have never done a purge. I have 10 heavy harvestors that were owned by someone who quit 3-4 months ago and they are still there.

Its 3 months of no account status. Believe me, I've lost 2 large homes in that fashion, with a LOT of stuff inside because I forgot to register before the 3 month time frame.

must be more than that, have a friend who has not played for 6 mo, I maintain the maint, and his house is still there.
IIRC I believe they were going to do quarterly purges, but got slammed by the public, I do remember them doing one and it caused major issues, as it was of course bugged and deleted active player structures.
