Ever tried to meet someone to trade, or sell something, but for whatever reason are constantly missing them?
Why not have a mailbox in a house, for Cash on Delivery? That way anyone can deliver to whereever they need to. It already exists in the form of offers to vendors.
Theres a plate onthe wall outside, click on it, get a deliver item, set the price, its deposited in the mailbox. Owner comes along, on the inside of the house on the structure they select mailbox, pay the money and its in their inv!
Please ... please ... please ....

Hmmm it doesnt sound like a useful idea..
And sounds an awful lot like WoW to me as well..
But why do you need such a thing? All you have to do is place a vendor in your house and send an ingame e-mail. And you're done

Theadvantageof amailboxover avendor is that it wouldn't require 24 skillpoints minimum investment, and wouldn't require that the house be public. It would be nice if it did not require extra maintenance, or at least extra maintenance to pay attention to, as well.

I like the idea a lot, though there will be people complaining about is that it reeks of WoW.
To be honest, it wouldn't hurt SWG to borrow some things from WoW.

Seems like a harmless and useful idea. I figure they would have to be concerned with griefing by filling the boxes up and others exploiting the system for even more storage.

I like it. Could finally take down those guild and city houses that exist only to trade items and make dropoffs.

I honestly had no idea that this was something in WoW! But theres no reason why you couldn't have similar ideas if they're good.
As for vendors, yes, but there is the fact that you need to invest a lot os SP to get one, SP many don't have available.

You could limit the number of items, say to three, so storage is not an issue.

I see door to door junk mail! a player city rampaged by crafters selling goods! by placing cheap object with a text logo name in everyones "mail boxes".

I think the ability to use a crafted data disk and write a message on it and deliver it by hand to a box would have a ton of rping possibilities. Perhaps even with encryption programs and codebreakers crafted by smugglers.
