ever wanted a trashy house with furniture tipped over making it look like a krayt in a tornado whipped through?i have..i think a /twist command should be added, when used (say /twist down 90) something upright would tip onto its side,so if a chair is upright like this | the command would tip it forward so its on its front side like this __ using it again would flip it upside down, and any number in between would, well, work like the /move up/down command, allowing for chairs and tables on their sides to make the place looko trashy,or even make walls out of table tops, and to make a chair completly on its side, the /turn right/left commands would twist it as if its upright,so if its leaned forward on a 90 degree angle /turn right 90 would tip it sideways 90 degrees so the top would face right, from there it could be tweaked
if that was too confusing...uhm....well try to understand it

I was redecorating my house this weekend and thought of how many items would look so much better if we could tweak things this way. I would love to be able to "hang" my krayt skull on the wall instead of having to set it on the floor. Bravo for speaking up on this idea!

Its calledrotating on a 'Z' axis.
And we architects have been asking for it since game launch. We got our "up and down" commands put in, but there has been considerable resistance to devs adding a Z axis rotation for some reason. I do interior decorating in game, and I specialize in custom items (building hot tubs out of ither stuff..pool tables etc) and being able to manipulate this axis would be a greeat help in designing new things.
yet another thing we will prolly never see tho.

I know what you mean. I sometimes see NPC structures with player made furnitures flipped over like that, and I want to do the same. Hope they implement this!

Its amazing the new creativity that spawned when the up and down movements where added and when theitem limits wereincreased. Rotating on a Z axis, coloring furniture, and new craftable furniture are on my Santa's wish list for the future. /holds breath.

Unfortunately Manaman has this right.. we will probably never see this implimented. Good Idea, but something that will probably never happen in our lifetime.

I would like this to hang a bowcaster up it relly looks wrong how I have it at the moment. I don't see why it would be so hard.

Assuming any devs care, including a Z-axis rotation parameter to the database would increase server-side storage demands and load times. It already takes 5-20 seconds to load home interiors, so I can see that this is a (somewhat) legitimate concern.
...It would be a nice extra to have though. I have a few old hard drives I would be willing to donate if it helps
