Fact of the matter is, SWG is simply getting old. When games allow player housing, the houses just go everywhere and after a certein point in time, they will just take over everything until no one wants to play because of it. I really doubt that the DEVS are going to do anything about it. The CU is going to make the game completely group oriented but they are intelligent enough to see that less and less people are playing the game. They need to do something to promote the server populations and fix the player housing and player cities or this game wont last another year.

Well if there is such a point, we haven't reached it yet. Most of the buildable worlds are wilderness. They are promoting for more people and returnees with significant changes (CU) and expansions (ROTW). Not mention the bribes (veteran rewards).

I've sold around 25 city halls since the start of the new year. I haven't noticed a great reduction in my server's population and we're one of the lower populated servers. As for the ghost towns, there's not much to do but hope SOE eventually does the player account maintenance.
