I used to be able to make 3 lines of text in a house sign by creating the text in a word document and copying and pasting it into the sign.

I haven't done this in a couple of months, but I tried last night and all I was able to paste was a single line.

Has anyone tried this lately or know why it no longer works?

I haven't tried anything with the sign on my house, but since the colors use hex, like HTML uses, have you tried putting a <br> as your carriage return/line feed?

I haven't tried that, but it used to work without it. I am using the same saved document I used to use with the hex color code and a simplethree line sign, but for some reason it no longer works for allthree lines. I can copy and paste one line but not all three lines.

Thanks for the suggestion though I will try it tonight when I get home.

And you're still using MS Word too? One thing about Word is that it is intuitive enough to copy out as html if possible.

Aha!!! I bet that is the problem. I was trying it on the second pc using wordpad as I only have Word on the other pc. I put the old Word document into the shared folder and opened it on the second pc with wordpad.

Tried it on both computers. I can't seem to make multiple lines work like it used to.

Maybe something changed

OK. Have no clue as to what I was doing wrong, but I started over using notepad and it works now

Thanks for your help and encouragment.

I made my simple three line sign using just the hex codes for color and I succesfully copied and pasted it into my house sign.

Something changed with the CU rollout.

I had 4 lines in my house sign and after CU you could only see 2 lines. I had to remove the top and botom "borders" so you could see the full text in 2 lines. Sucks

yeah Word has a problem when trying to copy anything with a ' in it, or anything that is autoformated like 4th.and pasting it into the building name. The problem comes from the way Word encodes some text, i have run in this problem before both before and after the CU. A simple work around is to use windows notepad, or the /notepad command in game to copy multiple lines.
