1. Allow people to make theyr cities reb/imp. If a city is reb/imp and the opposite faction enters they be attackable by the city militia ( whether combatant or special forces). To turn on leave to attackable players will be able to place faction sacnners for that. 1. (a When a factional reachees city level it cn be attackedd by the opposing faction .If being attacked it can be taken over or destroyed.
TAKING OVER
To take over a city the opposing faction needs: a slicing 4 smuggler and a politician. To do it the opposing faction goes to the city hall the smuggler slices the management terminal enters the politician's name and the city is taken over.
Items Involved
City management failsafe: A mayor can place these buildings if placed all have to be sliced before the main mangement terminal can be used they also serve as extra managemnet terminals.
To destroy a city the opposing faction needs a commando to destroy a citythey get a high power explosive ( faction reward) the commando goes to the hall plants the exlposinve runs away boom no no more city. All items in the hall are returned the owwners inventory
2. Laws A city mayor can make laws:
A. Require a sampling permit: They be done the same way as zoning rights or can be crafted.
PLEASE post law ideas.
3.: a mayor can be able to list certain items to be restricted or taxed. The mayor can place customs buildings which have a customs droid inside. They work like this: i wheen player enters the city they have 60 seconds to go to a customs building if they dont they become attackable and banned. When they go to a bulding the customs droid ask them to claim theyr contraband if they do it will take contraband and hold it till the player leavesif it finds taxable stuff it charges the tax.scans theyr inventory and if it finds contraband it confisactes the contraband and gives it to the city mayor and makes the player attackable. If it find taxable stuff it charges the tax.

This idea has some potential but not all cities are factional, but it would be cool to includedeclaredfactionalplayer citiesin the factional occupation like the NPC cities are. If the Imperials are in control it would be cool tosee NPC stormtroopers and a banner parked outside city hall, guards at the shuttleport, etc....
Then you would have the job as mayor to round up the troops and move out the insurgents.
Definitely make being a combatant interesting as you never know what to expect as you enter a city....... even your own.... lol

Sounds like a pretty bad idea. I can already think of several ways this could be abused and have a lot more cities destroyed by the gaining mayors.

I don't have much of an opinion if it is a good or bad idea, but... The devs have consistently said that nothing wold be implemented to make cities factional in any way. They want the "politics" and the GCW to be two seperate beasts.

I'm sure people wouldn't be pleased if opposite factions managed to take over a city and then a retaliatory war starts which causes the destruction of many Imperial and Rebel cities and metropolises.

taking cities is an awfull idea, go die.
heres a law. No taking over cities.
