Thread: Increased items/loot...increased housing item limit?

Its always great to see new items and loot in the game and Kashyyyk has offered up some interesting items from skulls to wind mobiles, voodoo dolls, ancient tomes and all manner of new weapons and other assorted objects. With JTLS, the CU and veteran rewards being added to the game in the last year there was a slight increase in the number of items a large Naboo house could hold as it increased to 400.

However, I am now finding that I have an abundance of great loot and decorative items just sitting in storage houses as my large house and sorosub yacht are both maxed out and I have taken a lot of time decorating a house that I feel proud of and presents very well for social gatherings etc. I think it would be great timing (at least maybe for the next major publish) to include a new structure that steps up a level from the large house to what could be termed a 'mansion' or whatever other term could be appropriate.

A limit of perhaps 600 items shouldnt be too outlandish and greedy. Perhaps even some new rooms that could be turned into shrines or other private areas for some of the more spooky and interesting items that collectors have gathered during their travels.

I thinkit is a fair request in light of the increase in decorative items being crafted and looted and would be great for those of us who love the immersion and added dimension of having a house that reflects our characters and adventures. Its just a shame to see so many interesting items lying around a small house waiting to be destroyed due to lack of space.

Just my 2 cents and probably a theme that has been mentioned more than once...thanks.

your post sparked an idea in my head, maybe one that you were thinking, but i dont think it was articulated very well.

you refered to private areas of a house.

how about a VIP area? ya know, if a house is public, how about making a few connected rooms more private. a second house maintenance terminal somewhere in there with a seperate admin list. great idea for shrines, personal areas, etc. also, this would make "employees only" areas in shops real, not just a painting covering the door, a subtle "dont look in here" sign. whenever i see a painting covering a door, i always go check it out, wondering "i wonder whats back here....."

if we could customize which rooms are private that would be sweet too

Very good ideas! I never understood why guild halls especially didn't have the ability to make rooms "private". The way guild halls are set up, you'd assume that many people would/could live in there.

Realistically, with the amount of house decoration items in the game, we need another change to the items per lot system. I'm thinking an increase from 100 to 150 items per lot is reasonable. And please, apply that logic to large houses and guild halls please. They lowered the lots to 5, yet capped the items at 400. This makes no sense. With 150 items per lot, we'd see the following:

  • Small Naboo (round) - 150 items (currently 100)

  • All other Small / Medium - 300 items (currently 200)

  • Large / Guild Hall - 750 items (current 400)

This means if a player used all his lots, he'd be able to hold 1500 items. This sounds reasonable. Currently, if a player put down any houses but Large / Guild Hall with all their lots, they'd be able to hold 1000 items. So it is just a 500 item bump.

Speaking of item limits, Stuff insode containers counts against your item limit. But do stacked items count (say, a crate) count as 1 or 25?

When I look at all the stuff in my house it seems to be way over 400. Or is that just me?

stacked items only take up 1 space..not the number in the stack

Thanks. It still seems like I have more than 400 things in my house....... The basement alone has maybe 60 objects in it.
Dunno how I'm gonna squeeze the pool table in the library.

Guress I'll have to have a garage sale soon.........pity. Or hire a decorator. Or both. Think both.

With the holo-glow gone, I may have to re-decorate soon anyways.
