It would be nice if a Mayor could do more to beautify their city.
I propose creating sidewalks, perhaps out of bricks, stone concrete or wood. This would go a long way towards making each city unique.
I don't understand why houses can't be linked in a row, as they used to be able to. It adds structure to a city, which goes along with zoning being enabled.
I also propose a Mayor should be able to do some minimum landscaping, for the placement of structures.
Finally, why couldn't walls be added for the outside border of the city? This would be another way for cities to become truly unique.

I can't agree more with you.
Cities are unfished, the finishing touch is missing.
