Thread: Area unbuildable after destroying structure?

Hi, I just took down some smaller buildings so that I could put up a large house on the same area, but the area is showing that its full (even though its obviously empty) and won't let me build there. Is there a waiting period before you can build on the same area again?

Just extra note, if I walk into the area I can still hear the torch and droid, etc crafting station I took out of the building before destroying it.

I can think of aseveral of possibilities.

First, the area might have become a no-build area before you removed the structure. If the general area is no-build, not just the outline of the structure's footprint, this is probably what happened. A dynamicspawn is the most likely way for this to happen.

Second, there might be a lag problem. I've noticed the delayed reaction on sound effects lately, and I wonder if that same kind of lag might be happening to you. Something like this might be the problem if the no-build area closely matches the structure's footprint.

Third, it may be a known "feature". I have never it encountered because Ihave only once triedto remove and replace in the same spot. That failed because something else was in the way after the removal.

I've had weird stuff happen with city street lights. Those puppies can be placed right next to structures so that the footprints overlap, but when the structure is removed, the street light footprint prevents placing the same structure in the same spot. This is probably an intentional city-management fudge.

also it might be that you're attempting to replace smaller houses with larger houses but if those smaller houses are medium naboo then they are actually just as large as the large naboo now....
